The X-3 folding power rack. Gonna mount it in my garage and still be able to park inside when not using
Ill be interesting to see how long it takes to get to you. I want some 24" deep rack i can bolt to the platform. One day, I'll find one.
Thinking about building out a rack/stand for my dumbbells. I've got the BowFlex adjustable ones, and then a few other smaller dumbbells (5#, 8#, 10#) that would go on there. I'm at the point where I'm pretty much only going to work out at my house, so I'm going to work a little more on tricking out my home gym. Horse Stall Mats (I feel like the carpet has enough "give" that it messes up my balance/footing on squats and deadlifts and stuff). Mounting the TV up higher towards the ceiling to open up some floor room Etc. I have limited space when it comes to things like hanging barbells or my trap bar, so I'm going to have to figure that out.
My Titan adjustable comp bells came with a week. Thoughts. Not sure why they came painted lol. I understand why KB kings has a matte finish powdercoat? Comes with an Allen key. No pliers to tighten the large bolt. 1 came slightly dinged up and the Allen key screw was a little worn. Not sure why. But it doesn't need much to tighten. That bell is a bit knicked up after futzing around with it trying to learn the weights. Really aggravating if you fuck up the fit order. Need a paint marker to mark them in order. Feel good in my hands The weights seem to stay tight. Imo they should put a sleeve separating the weights from the screw so it won't strip over time. The bottoms are not interchangeable. There's a notch on each so it'll connect and 'lock' into place. But they had to fab them a little to fit. Im not expert but these are great options for people learning.
It has to be as mild as it gets but learned today that Tom Stoltman has autism, would be awesome if he could get WSM
Quarantine has wrecked me. I can’t get my 12-1,300 calories burning sessions in now so I’m just getting obliterated. Pushups and pull-ups just don’t cut it and I don’t feel like doing them for 2 hours then going for a run.
No access to anything like that. I have a 40lb dumbbell so I’ve lost so much strength and put on 20lbs with most of my workout being cardio now
Let's not shame our fellow fats. I've gained 10lbs. I've been eating pretty well. Quality food, no shit, no fast food. I've just eat a lot of it bc I'm always home. Oh and I've drank more in the last two than I have the the prior 12 months
I’ve kept diet and everything it’s just I don’t get the same calories burned during a workout. I’d just have to up it to 80 mins of cardio to make up for it. Just gonna go on a water and air diet for as long as I can hold out before eating a carrot
In the before time a regular workout was 1200-1300 calories, now I’m lucky if I can get 700 with an hour of body weight and kettle bell workout and 30 mins of cardio.
Not a chance. This cut has zapped my squat and bench. I’d be lucky if I could hit 5-10kgs below my best squat. Weirdly, I feel like if I peaked my deadlift I’d hit a PR. I think the lost weight is putting me in a better position. The only other Tennessee meet this year is end of August and I just don’t have any confidence in being able to hit my same total right now. Hopefully once this cut is over in a month I can spend the rest of the year in a surplus/maintenance and put up something big in the 1,600lb range early next year.
it’s finally time to part with my 6 year old lifting shoes - what are the current hotness in shoes where I can lift and then maybe walk on the treadmill or hop on the stationary bike/elliptical for a bit afterward?
Metcons kinda suck, pretty much just an average pair of athletic shoes and not great for lifting or cardio.
got a bad blister with chucks when I did some post-lifting cardio once. metcons/nanos look interesting have you tried the nanos?
I have high arches, so chucks are a no-go for me. Nanos fit my feet better than Metcons; try them both on. At the end of the day, a solid, flat sole is good for lifting and will still let you do some cardio afterwards.
Metcons always seem to have the sole detach just enough at the forefoot bend to make them squeaky af every time I’ve had them
Week two back at gym thoughts: I used to pride myself looking at my tough, calloused hands. Currently I’m sitting at work and my hand/fingers are the most painful spot on my body.
https://www.womenshealthmag.com/health/a32435276/rhabodomyolysis-kettlebell-workout/ this is article is so poorly written. nothing about her diet or water intake, just "i got sick from working out too hard"
some of it might depend on your height, but Chucks work great for me. I just change them out if doing cardio
Fitness mags, especially women's, are terrible. Ignore my genetics, I did 3 basic exercises you can too and be jacked/tone
