I’m more interested the clandestine activities and job networking than the song at this point. Only one episode down, but I fully expect it to taper off in intrigue quickly.
Boom/Bust is pretty good so far. It’s a ringer long form pod, season 1 is about the rise and fall of HQ Trivia.
Wind of Change is wild af. While prob not a CIA op, just some of the tangential stories, CIA background and other ops, and the history of that era interwining is crazy.
Radio Rental’s return was pretty meh. Spoiler The first story wasn’t weird or creepy at all. Just a shitty thing that happens sometimes. Story two had potential and kind of fizzled. My money would be on ingesting something and blacking out.
For those of you familiar with, and enjoy, the book series The Kingkiller Chronicles this podcast may interest you. https://www.tor.com/2020/06/23/patr...-podcast-for-new-kingkiller-chronicles-story/
Rob Lowe just had his first podcast episode come out today. It’s called “Literally” and his first guest is Chris Pratt. It’s on iTunes.
Its supposed to be out in August, but I take that with all of the grains of salt. I’m hopeful that this is a good sign, though.
First episode of the new Paul F Thompkins and Nicole Parker podcast, The Neighborhood Listen, had me absolutely dying. The segment with Maria Blasucci was the hardest I've laughed in a long time.
Definitely better than last week. So far. The camp story was legitimately fucked up for a teenage girl to have to go through. Going to listen to story 2 soon. ETA: Part two kind of sucked. It felt like a typical vanilla slasher plot.
Yeah, I didn't buy the second story at all. Overall the season has been a huge disappointment for me as I loved the first season. Hoping for better ones moving forward.
Tides of History started a new series on human migrations, centered around genetic and dna testing. It’s so interesting to me and amazing what they can decipher from fragments of 1M year old pinky bones
How the hell does SiriusXM have that much money https://www.engadget.com/siriusxm-acquires-stitcher-podcasts-122816348.html SiriusXM acquires podcast platform Stitcher from Scripps for $325 million
Anyone have a good recommendation on a history pod for the holocaust? Interested in learning more about it and hitlers rise to power. I’d read a book but I can’t read (I’m actually too far behind on books I’ve already started) Thanks
I’d just listen to the audiobook of The Rise and Fall of the Third Riech. It’s as comprehensive text as there is about Hitler and the Nazis. Starts w Hitler’s childhood and ends w the fall of the Nazis.
Radio Rental season 2 was a complete bust. Short and underwhelming. It’s hard to pick more than maybe one good story.
there were good episodes and stories but it was certainly inconsistent. This season was consistent, it was just consistently shitty.
If you really want to hate people check out this weeks Behind the Bastards. It’s about the people who killed Pat Tillman.
I some how missed the story of how he actually died. The propaganda around his death and how they used it is so fucking gross.
Zack to the Future the new Saved By The Bell Podcast started yesterday. Just an interview with Mark Paul. Next week they breakdown Season 1 Ep 1 and will do each episode each week.
Somebody mentioned The Dollop in another thread so I gave it a listen. Pretty pretty enjoyable. Especially the Ronald Reagan eps.
Behind the bastards really was an angry one for me. It was how our country hates children title was “America’s war on children”
