I realize it. I also think he doesn’t care. It’s all about him. In his mind he MUST win. He already has control of much of the government. He has the Senate, the Supreme Court, and the Justice Dept behind him. He is Commander-in-Chief of the military (although I’m not sure all of the military would support him). But he might not need to take over the government. As far as the election, if he loses the general vote and the electoral college he might be able to pull off what John Quincy Adams did when he lost both...have the legislatures and supreme courts of a couple of lost swing states decertify their electors. If no one wins the electoral college the House will vote to determine the winner. Each State gets one vote. There are more Red states than Blue states. And, of course, there’s always the possibility that he can enact “emergency powers” to indefinitely postpone the elections. And the Supreme Court and Senate will be right there to lick his boots. Anyway, don’t take any of this post seriously. I’m just in a bad space.
Protesting for the last two days in Charlotte, NC. Feet are sore but heart is full. Great crowds, all positive, but night falls and things descend pretty quick. Still wouldn't say the protests were "violent" until the police started letting go of the flash bangs and shooting pepper balls. First time I've tasted pepper spray I'll be alright though
