You can have gatherings of 100 or more, but still can’t get a haircut where you interact with maybe 2 people tops. Ridiculous
you can go to a bar or night club with 100 people, but can’t go to a gym where you can social distance, or get a haircut where you can easily take protective measures?
I don't think bar and nightclubs are open. Could be mistaken. 100 people gathering is for OUTDOORS not everywhere
There is a pretty big difference in exposure between a restaurant with tables spaced for social distancing and a gym full of sweaty, panting people each using the same equipment.
You have a lot of faith in people, I'd love to know where that comes from. People are largely selfish and only want what is best for them.
Exactly that will not be 100 people for most locations. It indicated table must be 6ft apart. I'm not sure where night clubs fit into that.
yeah I wouldn’t trust most of the meatheads at gyms. However hair salon you’re putting your trust in one or two people tops. You can get your temp at door and wear a mask. Can’t get much safer than that, and probably more safe than your twice a year dental cleaning. most bars and restaurants seat around 200-300. I don’t see an issue with them spreading people out.
Lol. Every other state doesn’t seem to have a problem with it Enjoy living scared the rest of your life
It has been among the last to open across every state so far. yes we are slower which most support because it has been a shit show here with nearly 10% death rate for the bulk of this thing. I still don't get the huge concern of a hair cut, is it that important to people? Shave that shit and move on
the curve has been flatten for over a month now. You still haven’t addressed the fact why you’re against hair salons opening? Temperature checks, masks. It can’t get any safer than that. How’s it differently than interacting with a waiter or waitress?
Vinegar's wife is a hairdresser named Brandy Lynn. I think he's right in this case, though..if you're going to allow 100 people in an enclosed venue for an hour at a time, that's much more dangerous than a hair salon, regardless of how spaced out they are. Take that to mean I don't think either should be possible right now.
As someone who has gotten a hair cut...and speaking with buddies that have in OH, it really did feel pretty "safe" compared to many other things you are allowed to do. *You can't sit in the shop waiting for your haircut...given a guesstimate on time and they call you 5 minutes before so basically wait in the parking lot. *Masks required by all *Two chairs empty on each side with barriers as well. *Obvious sanitation I went over three months without a haircut and just wore a hat everyday...it did not bug me at all, but I was very surprised at how "good" it felt when done. I did wait for others to do it first to hear what the new "experience" required.
Against not really against but I can understand why that and nail salons sit firmly on the bottom of opening is what I'm saying. I also have no interest in sitting in a restaurant any time soon as it wasn't something I did often anyhow and do not miss. Also I haven't stepped foot in a salon in nearly 20 years.
Ok, well I don't think 10% is anywhere near accurate given the number of people who've had it w/no symptoms is likely to be high, and the nationwide death rate at this point is 5%
Not Michigan, but I went to the gym this morning here in Texas, and they are taking pretty substantial measures to to limit spread. Masks required (huge pain in the ass. Not easy to workout with a mask, but I get it); equipment is spread out; cleaning solution next to most equipment with the requirement to wipe down after every use; locker rooms, showers and child care facility remain closed; only allowing 50% capacity at a time; and over the hour I was there, employees wiped down equipment and door handles at least twice. All things considered and balancing trade offs, I think that's plenty sufficient
Every Detroit sports franchise has failed to release any type of statement concerning George Floyd. I know Macomb makes up a big portion of their fan bases, but fuck off, seriously.
The Pistons have Casey's statement as their pinned tweet and put this one up as well: Probably better than some bullshit written by Deloitte for Gores.
And the Lions tweeted about blackout Tuesday. But agree the Lions response is minimal and the Wings and Tigers should be ashamed. The Tigers in particular given their history with the '67 riots.
all those things are true, just referring to the data that the she would be using would be the reported numbers not he potential numbers.
For repeatedly placing such a high importance on getting a haircut over the last several weeks. Ask upstairs mommy roommate to put a bowl on your head and go to town.
Great mom joke man. Go tell your boyfriend (the only person you communicate with outside of this board) I thought it was funny.
The next part will be all the complaining about having to wait longer, wear a mask and what not. It will never be enough unless it's unrestricted free for all like pre Covid
most places are strictly appointment only now. So the wait won’t be longer, and masks will be and should be required. And I’m in full support of masks. I hate how grocery stores don’t enforce the policy, even though they have signs on the door.
I know. I'm talking in general. Appointment setting will be pushed well out with fewer stylists likely able to work at the same time to account for spacing is what i meant about waiting.
Figured I'd share a good story from our area showing not all of humanity in the state sucks right now Cliffs, guy spends all his money buying a torn up house from landbank for his family. He has 5 kids and worked day and night to fix up the house to move his family in. Within a week or so of it being habitable, a fire burns it all down including killing their family dog. Fox 2 does a story about it and in 3 days so far $484k has been raised for his family to get a home.
