Yesterday's derecho in Colorado's Front Range (Denver, C. Springs, Ft. Collins, etc.) was historic. Drove through one populous area with impressive tree damage creating major home/car damage. I've seen 80-90 mph readings in the foothills before, but 80 in suburb is not one I recall before. 110 near Winter Park is fairly crazy. NWS Boulder also issued their two largest polygons ever, one covering 3.1M people (nearly 60% of state population) from N. of Co. Springs to the Wyoming state line.
