The Net Zero bread? Not bad at all. I mean I'd prefer some honey wheat but the Net Zero isn't bad at all. It kinda sucks by itself but on a sandwich it's fine.
Had a terrible reminder that this stuff can mess with you last night... Came home to standing water in the basement last night and just had a bad day at work. Wife had something else going on and was feeling down and ordered a pizza and breadsticks, half of it was left when I got home. Ate the rest no problem. Got the water straightened out and went to a buddy’s for a few beers to blow off some steam. Had 4 bud lights. Came home, hung with the wife, went to bed. Didn’t feel drunk in the least. Woke up at 1 am some combo of nauseous, sick to my stomach, and dizzy. Terrible feeling. Couldn’t sleep, was hot and cold, had to go to the bathroom several times. Just awful. Was up for 2 hours. Anything I drank made it worse. Haha, totally wasn’t worth it. Friendly reminder not to go full send for momentary gratification.
Thanks, was just reading up on it. I figured higher would be better but that link says this, so 1.5 isn't that bad? Cuellar Gilmore explained to Women's Health that urine levels are generally indicative of the levels found in blood. Blood ketones should measure 0.5 mM/dL at a minimum, but numbers between 1.5 to 3.0 mM/dL, are optimal, she said.
How does one get to 16? Is that even good? I don't even know what I'm doing. All I know is I'm supposed to eat few carbs and its working so far. Staying under 20 net carbs.
Well, there really not, but you aren’t fully ketosis right now. Just keep doing what you are doing and you’ll be solid in 48 hrs. Are you IF as well?
ketone levels in urine =/= ketone levels in blood but dont stress, if youre doing the diet correctly you'll be in ketosis soon enough and wont need to test anything
Intermittent fasting. Also only way to really tell is through your blood. Scientifically that is, I use the piss strips as well.
With regard to coffee and digestion and uh, being regular, this stuff helps a lot. I drink it most mornings even though I am not a big coffee guy..Kitu super coffee
Oh na not really. I eat a samm breakfast around 10am, snack around 4, then dinner around 7. Not eating as much as I used to though. It's weird though, I used to get a little hungry then more hungry then starving hungry. Now it's not hungry at all to starving in like 15 minutes. There's no build up.
So really everyone IFs in one way or another. The thing that will help is keeping your intervals consistent. 10AM-7PM would certainly work, just try to not have any calories in between those times.
Those Atkins chocolate treats aren't bad at all. 2-3 net carbs. Not Reese's, but not bad. Will I ever have a real poop again?
I like the Atkins chocolate peanut butter and cookies n cream bars for what they are. Wasn’t as big a fan of quest, but I tried those early on when I still had real candy fresh in my taste buds. Slim fast keto Pb cups are pretty good too.
Yea I grabbed a box of all of them BJ's had. My rankings: Atkins Caramel Chaocolate Nut Roll Bar Slimfast Keto Peanut Butter Cup Atkins Peanut Butter Cup Atkins Peanut Butter Bar Atkins Coconut Chocolate Bar (awful, throwing them all away)
Every grocery store I’ve checked locally is wiped out of mission carb balance, as well as amazon. Is this the case everywhere?
Be careful on the Atkins and SlimFast stuff - I think it has maltitol or something else that keeps you out if ketosis.
Nah the new stuff is clean. ITS NOT ALL CLEAN I had checked packages of previous bars, like chocolate peanut butter, and there was none. Cookies n cream has it. I didn’t think to check after the first few were clean. I got played like a fiddle.
The Aldi net zero carb bread is a game changer just broke a fast with a turkey avo BLT and it slapped
What are your goals? If you aren't drinking calories before 10 am or after 8 pm, that's not a bad start to IF.
I drink 2 Reign energy drinks during the day. 0 calories, 2 carbs. Outside of that, just water. Just looking to cut some lb's and I'm too lazy/busy to exercise much.
What model? I get the 120 count from Sams of the mini. One serving is 4 sticks and has 150 cal and 4g carbs
I guess that does seem right based on weight. I eat the shit out of Greenridge Farms beef sticks from Costco. 82g stick has 220 cal and 0g carbs https://greenridgefarm.com/product/beef-snack-stick/
I haven’t had those yet but yes, very interested in trying the original are very tasty and I like the hot and spicy as well <1g carbs for 2 sticks
