You know what’s even more ridiculous price wise than living room furniture, outdoor furniture(at least for what’s it is)
A place around here sells Ipe furniture which is sort of like Teak wood in that it’s dense and weather resistant. They were advertising a 60% off Memorial Day sale by appointment only. When I emailed they responded back with the price of the pieces and i promptly thanked them for their time and told them to enjoy their holiday.
We’ve got a couple Adirondacks like that. They are expensive but have held up remarkably and I don’t cover them or anything in Chicago winters. I’ve been happy.
Haha we found a loveseat, 2 chairs, and a table set for 300 bucks off and got it for 500ish. Had it set up for 2 hours before my wife said we had to buy covers for it for another 100 bucks or take the cushions off each time there is a chance of rain. I mean I get it, but who makes outdoor furniture cushions that shouldn’t get wet? Seems like that should be a primary feature. We now have coverings.
we went and did tons of couch shopping when we moved this last time, didn't love anything bought the same ashley couch we had prior, it's mostly shit and will only get you 3-5 years of decent use but man its a steal of a price. we also have no idea where we'll be in 3-5 years so didn't want to dump too much cash.
I bought a nice sectional off of Facebook market once for what I think was a really good deal. Year later, still very happy with it. If you’re patient can find nice used furniture for cheap.
Got quoted $1700 for a rug for our conference room at the office last week . Decided that was way too much for a rug.
You’re probably right but I have an Ashley sectional and we love it pissed me off when the guy tried to up sell the couch protection to my fiancée though
I’ve had one couch from there that has lasted me over 10 years. A couple of others were busted within 2 years.
I've got a few boxes in the garage staring at me ready to be put together on the back porch. We also bought our foyer, dining, and island light fixtures from Wayfair.
Don’t know if you guys have an Arhaus: The Loft location by you, but you can get really good quality stuff for a fraction of their insane prices. Some is discontinued, some is scratch and dent, and it’s mostly individual pieces, it’s not super easy to find sets. But we got our “$5,000” kitchen table for $600 and a “$4,500“ couch that had a big long marker line on the back of it for $650. Might be off on the final costs $50 or so, but the actual quality of the furniture is outstanding. It’s stuff we intend to have for years, if not decades like the kitchen table. That couch with the mark will never have that side exposed, as it only goes against the wall.
I can see what I perceive as blue. It’s just impossible for me to know what blue looks like for someone with normal color vision, because you know color blindness.
I feel like we have a flashlight snob in here somewhere. Looking for a solid flash light that also can be worn in the head for early morning fishing preferable rechargeable. Thanks
I use a headlamp similar to what Nandor the Relentless posted for deer hunting and they're great. The battery lasts a very long time, they are very bright. I have 3 of them now for people to borrow, and they've all been in that $15-$20 range.
Gotcha, I have one similar to that but am looking for one that can also double as a right angle flash light too when not in use.
I use the Petzl Actik Core for field work, camping, etc. https://m.petzl.com/US/en/Sport/ACTIVE-headlamps/ACTIK-CORE
I did a google image search for "fleshlight headlight" and didn't find anything. Was hoping for a fleshlight taped to an idiot's forehead. Everyone please envision this post containing that image.
When you own the business it's kinda the same. But yah I saw some $300 headsets idk about all that. What is a reasonable rate? I saw that Jabra makes some compatible with my polycom phone
If you’re using it all day, want the battery to last and decent noise cancellation it’s worth it. The other thing is you literally could not buy a headset when this COVID shit started so the prices will remain on the higher side. I’d trust either manufacturer, both have great Cust service as well. Just decide if you want in ear, over the head, one ear, two, etc.
Anybody have an experience with the oakley latch sunglasses. Really like the idea of being able to secure my glasses but not sure how well it works. https://www.oakleysi.com/en-us/product/W0OO9265
