I loved SMB2, but my only gripe was that the fielding felt wonky at times. If SMB3 improves the fielding gameplay I'll like it even more.
you guys remember when you could flip through the game's manual and there'd be a page or 3 on game controls? Miss those days I think.
Discovered a new game today called, Crossout. It's free, and worth checking out. Taco Sa1ad and I both downloaded and probably put at least 5 hours into it just today. Game is fun.
Minecraft Dungeons is out on Game Pass today....watched a couple of videos on it and I'm in. Diablo-style dungeon crawler for freeeee. Reply to this if anyone wants to party up today/tonight.
Gin Buckets did you beat stranded deep? I just got to a point where I’m just super bored. I can’t find another gas can to make the gyro and I’m just disinterested right now.
Haven't beaten it yet, but just putting off the boss fights. I could probably spend a few hours and finish it up. Keep searching wreckage and you'll find the gas cans, I think I have 3. Then grow 4 potato plants to get gas and gas will never be a problem. I also had 3 pipi plants bc I got poisoned literally every time I went to a different island.
Well I knew Minecraft dungeons wouldn’t have cross play at launch, but it doesn’t even have cross progression either. How do you miss that in 2020? shame
No Man's Sky is gonna be on GamePass soon. It's a fun game, but runs like shit on the Xbox One X. Frame rate all over the place.
Warface: Breakout just got released....a counter-strike type of game. It's $20. Just downloaded and gonna check it out. Anyone wants to play then hit me up "Taco Sa1ad". Also, still wanna beat Dungeons so I'd be down to jump that as well.
Not trying to start a battle but fear this could get people heated. So forgive me in advance. Will those who follow this closely break down the PS5 vs Xbox systems they will be released? We looking at more of the same where the best exclusives are on the PS5?
That’s not something people are going to be offended by unless they’re extremely fragile. The way I see it, they both have their strengths. Xbox: - sturdy controller with better battery life - customizable controllers including mapped paddles on the Elite controller - GamePass - social functionality - Halo/Gears/Forza/whatever Xbox Game Studios is cooking up - likely priced better - more powerful components - might be biased but FPS feel better PlayStation - PSVR - better exclusives (God of War, TLOU, Horizon, etc) - better freebies with the paid membership - might be biased but third person games feel better - controller is slightly more innovative with touchpad, gyro controls
Who makes indestructible controllers for when I cave and buy the next piece of shit FIFA? 20 has done a number on my controller budget and reminded me why I don’t but elite controllers
If anyone has an elite controller laying around, sell it on ebay. I bought one series 1 one used about 6 months ago from like $125 or so at gamestop. Barely used it and just sold it on ebay for $175...people are trying to buy them now and supplies low it seems
With the birth of my second kid the amount of time I spend playing video games has dwindled. I don’t think I could justify purchasing both. It felt that Sony has turned the momentum and became the system to have especially given the fact the exclusives are so much better. Wasn’t sure if Microsoft stepped up or will under the new system. I’ll likely just stick with Microsoft since most of the people I enjoy playing video games play on that system. And maybe from a tech aspect it’s slightly better equipment
I’m also opting for Xbox first but I’ve had both the last 2 generations, usually buying the PlayStation about halfway through its life cycle. Hopefully I can justify buying a PS5 as well as my wife and I really enjoy the PSVR and I have played most of the big exclusives.
Pro tip: don't break a controller during a pandemic that's from China where the controllers are made. They are like 95% sold out everywhere (at least in Nashville). Uhhhh at least that's what my friend told me when he broke his......
I am building a PC, so I'll be going with PS5. Xbox doesn't have "exclusives" anymore, as they all release on PC as well.
I honestly think Sony changed my mind yesterday. I'm curious to see pricing on both, but also curious to see how much cross-play gets implemented between Xbox One S/X and Xbox Series X because I'll just hang onto my S until I can't take it any further. Just don't think I can pass up Miles Morales Spidey and Horizon 2.
Right now I am leaning Sony but I’m a sucker for Halo, so if the Xbox specs and pricing are good, I’ll lean Xbox. It’s basically a Halo home field advantage for me.
Looks like XSX specs are better for the most part...but I am definitely curious about the pricing. I will bet both are $500
Doesn't the X have better specs than the Pro, as well? All comes down to pricing, exclusives, and what your friends have.
Only decision I have is what will be my primary console (one x currently) and if ill get either at launch. I’m excited for both but I also need to upgrade my TV.
For Sony 4k TV owners: Spoiler There is some incredibly optimistic chatter (reddit/AVS/etc) that Sony will roll out some HDMI 2.1 features in a future firmware update to existing tv models to coincide with the PS5 launch to capitalize on some of the nascent gaming features (ALLM, QMS, VRR and other resolutions/framerates) of the TV. This is incredibly speculative though, however the boards in 2019/2020 tvs are unofficially capable of some or all of those features, 2018 at the higher end may also be possible. So this would be G & H models, and possible F models With the above said, I have a wonderful 2019 G series (65X950G) that won't be replaced until legit 2.1 ports/boards (full bandwidth, no shortcuts) are in available in every component (TV, smart box, receiver). I'll likely go RTX 3XXX series instead of console for the next round.
All my friends are on Xbox, not really interested in PS5. PS5 probably will end up with better exclusives in the long run, but I can't wait to see what Flight Simulator is gonna look like on the series x.
Apparently the miles morales Spider-Man is only an expansion. Not a full game. That’s kinda blows. I’m sure it’ll still be really good though. Edit: Nevermind, ign made a fuck up. Insomniac games said it is a stand alone.
not really, almost every game developer has come out and said that the PS5 is about the best piece of hardware they've developed on. Those sheet specs are about as relevant as 100 meter dash times on offensive line prospects.
