Liking Lucifer. I’m In Season 2 now. It’s brainless entertainment and the female detective is a smokeshow.
It is certainly nothing groundbreaking, but I enjoyed it for the most part. Carell and Malkovich play really well off one another and definitely elevate the weaknesses of the show.
You're in on it late but it's good you've discovered it. We have a thread on it on the TV board. It was a FOX show for the first 3 seasons then they didn't renew it even though it had good ratings. Netflix then bought the rights and made the 4th season themselves. They also announced they will make a 5th and final season but I'm not sure they've announced a date yet. Edit: ...and btw, nothing wrong with Detective Decker but Mazikeen is next level hot.
Finished Spaceforce. Pretty disappointed and pretty weak. Worth a watch if you got nothing else, but kind of seemed like the phoned it in. Could have been much better
I barely laughed and kept waiting for it to change with each episode, especially with cast they had assembled.
They did a good job with some of the subtle stuff, like the food cart being named Meal Armstrong’s, but so much falls flat
The Last Days of American Crime is fucking awful. I couldn’t even make it halfway through, and, even if I’m not enjoying it, I pretty much always finish a movie.
I made it like 30 minutes in and couldn’t take the nervous/cringe energy that radiates from it like the sun. That type of shit just isn’t my thing
since you're on this, I'll play along imo Bojack is funny when you can enjoy the wordplay (often pun drenched) in the dialogue, along with all of the side animal gags. (If you can't enjoy Keith Olberman's Tom Jumbo-Grumbo anchoring MSNBSea I feel bad for you) ...and Paul F Tomkins' expertly deadpanned oblivious Mr Peanutbutter. If none of that works for you, it's not going to feel funny - but it's still one of the best shows we've seen that tackles addiction and mental health.
Rewatching Trigger Warning with Killer Mike again, a must watch especially with the protests and police brutality going viral now
Show would be shit without Abigail Spencer, need that complicated person in it to go with all the square rednecks.
Its a top 10 show on Netflix. the great tragedy is its in Spanish and set in mexico so no one ever gives it a shot
I am horrible at this. I understand Spanish speak it with a really bad “güero” accent and I tend not to give Spanish shoes a shot. But, at least it is with all foreign language shows. So I am an all inclusive Netflix xenophobe.
Watched The Last Days of American Crime. Had to read the wiki page to understand what I had just watched.
Excellent tv show, amazed it was on NBC. Currently on rewatch myself. Rumor Creator is trying to get Netflix to pick it up.
Rewatching Hannibal right now. I'm hoping this show gets the viewership it deserves. Season 2 is one of the best seasons of television ever.
How many seasons? I'm still caught watching Money Heist and not even half done with that. Wasted two hours of my life watching the Bruce Lee 30 for 30 last night unfortunately.
That’s just not my thing. I couldn’t get past 30 minutes of uncut gems due to the nervous/cringe energy. Hate the meet the parents series. It’s just not a genre of entertainment that meshes with me
Binged Netflix all day Saturday. Mostly documentary movies and shows. 13th - very good, everybody should watch Da 5 Bloods - I thought it was awful and couldn't finish it. Thought the acting was pretty bad and corny lines Evil Geniuses - very good The Trials of Gabriel Fernández - haven't finished yet, but what a wild, and super sad story
