Yeah, Jordan is done, I can’t see how he isn’t. As a Siesta Key enthusiast, they cancelled the main guy Alex about an hour before the premiere of the second part of the third season last night. He apparently commented on memes 4-8 years ago (8 years ago puts him firmly in HS) with racial slurs. MTV knew about it before the show all together and there was an article in 2017 in Teen Vogue about it and nothing happened. Then they cut ties an hour before the premiere and cut over an hour off the episode and didn’t tell anyone beforehand. Don’t see any way how Jordan can be on national TV in an argument using that type of language and be cast for future MTV shows.
Man I hope they don't completely fuck up tonight's episode. Hopefully last week was edited just b/c it was fresh
If they do cut Jordan but don’t cut Cheyenne and bayleigh as well I’ll likely be done with the challenge going forward.
what a mess. I was with Cara last weekend, I don’t think she is on this season either. Surprised the show had the balls to drop Alex, considering Gary has put so much money into it. No one is safe. I honestly think they would even drop bananas/Wes if something more substantial/clear came up.
Had never seen the Jordan/Nia stuff before. Yeah he's done for a long time, at least. And deservedly so.
Haha, that’s awesome. I loved bratty Cara. She’s smoke too. I didn’t see her on the previews, but who knows. Alex is obviously the main character on the show...I don’t really see how they can carry the show on much longer. As much as I like G baby, he has the personality of a cement wall. Are you friends with Cara?
Not really no, that’s my area and my buddies little brother is in that crew so I’ve ended up in the circle a bunch. I said “team Cara” when I saw her and it got a chuckle. She dates the JJ kid right now. I have been to the house, it is massive.
Yeah, JJ was cast for the show just recently, as he was an ex of one of the main girls on the show and they kind of rekindled. Yeah, Cara and this JJ guy both are portrayed on the show as stupid rich, so I bet the houses are just massive.
Cheyenne said she hates white people and she wanted to kill white babies. Bayleigh said some racist remarks to muslims while on bb and something else derogatory. If you search twitter its there.
I think the only thing that could save him is that Nia and him made up long ago and it appears she supports him
Has Jordan had any incidents outside of what occurred in 2012? What he did was certainly inappropriate but the case could be made that he's matured, learned from it, and exhibited a clean record since the isolated incident.
Putting together people with opposite and stereotype views then have them change after getting to know different people was literally what Real World was trying to accomplish. Seems like there's a huge difference in punishing someone for something years in their past that appears to have grown than cutting ties in the moment. Corey's baby mama seems to have changed as well, seems like a poor message they're putting out there.
Not that I saw. It looked like he just “liked” and commented on some offensive memes way back when. There was a shark video circulating on IG a few years ago where a shark was being drug through the water and he said he knew the fisherman and he got “in trouble” for that for reposting it or something, as it was seen as torture to the shark. He apologized for it, etc and everyone moved on. I think that was just more guilty by association. I haven’t heard of anything beyond that. MTV knew about all of it though well before the show even started 3 years ago, but didn’t seem to care as much then.
They’re going to have to basically cancel Siesta Key moving forward, and this season is going to be terrible due to editing. Alex is a douche, but basically all the drama revolves around him or his family somehow.
.....go on.... I hadn’t heard anything about him in that regard. A quick google search doesn’t show much?
Can MTV not just put a disclaimer at the front of shows saying something like “MTV has cut ties with Dee due to XYZ. She will not appear on any future filming, but for the sake of continuity we will air the show as previously edited, even though we do not agree with her statements.” Similar statements are how WB and Disney have handled old problematic shows/cartoons. I don’t see how you can just cut out big chunks of your storyline and expect the audience not to notice or care. Seems a bit like an overreaction?
So, they took him off some show but then still let him be the face of the Challenge? That doesn't make much sense.
If this is true and him and Nia have made up and friends now, then I think it will be a stronger story to leave him on. Acknowledge what happened then show Nia discussing how Jordan has changed. I think that’s what the world needs to see is that people can learn and change. Just kicking him off while defeat the purpose of showing a strong message if true. On the other hand if it’s not true and he’s still acted that way then something needs to be done. Basically I think we need to see the positive stories of people changing from past issues.
I was wondering why the episode seemed so strange. I think they need to just put a disclaimer that they have cut footage of Dee out of respect for BLM. Airing her clips is probably not the way to go. I had completely forgotten about Jordan/Nias season. If I remember right she constantly made fun of his dick. They are a lot alike and I think their personalities clashed bc they were so similar. He definitely crossed a line. My wife was actually friends with Nia in high school and claims she was very very pleasant and nothing like she acted on the show.
That clip with Jordan is rough to watch he thrives off of knowing what he is saying/doing is getting under the other persons skin, just like he did with turbo once he saw nia was bothered by what he was doing/saying he was like a bull seeing red
they were both terrible/toxic for one another. Nia had her whole separate issues as well. Putting two bull-in-china-shop lightning rods in a house was combustible, and the other cast members were not cut out for resolving that situation. Maybe Marlon, but Marlon needed better wingmen.
Pffft at these Big Brother people patting themselves on the back for making it to this point. Almost as bad as the people that are “desperate” to go in to get a red skull.
Well MTV did my disclaimer... but they’ve still cut Dee completely out. I can’t even tell who she’s teamed up with?
I wish it was josh who they cut ties with. They can go ahead and edit him out of every episode from here on out anyway.
If Swaggy is ever on another season (hopefully not), need somebody to pull an Abram by calling Swaggy by his real name which is Chris.
I said on another page fessy could be this groups ct without the fighting... he will dominate if he stays with it..
Agreed. Thought it was very well done. Dee is annoying as hell and cutting her out from talking in that one didn't seem to cut out anything. Very enjoyable and much better than last week.
Anyone else confused as to when she left? She wasn’t in the stands during the men’s elimination, right?
They showed her in the tribunal and they also showed her pick of who she wanted thrown in against Corey (she picked Kyle)
I don't get Big Brother and not sure I want to. How is Josh at the top of their pecking order. He has a terrible political game.
