dumbbells by far imo. i like to use a heavy band stretched over my shoulders and do deads and stiff leg deads.

Rep weights came yesterday and had my first workout with weights at home this morning. It was amazing, not sure I’ll ever really go back to the gym.
whatever program i have ran has had a lot of dumbbell deadlifts. i think how i described using the band is a good morning, but you can do all the deadlifts with a resistance band as well.
A band dead is a little different from what ive learned during this. Most places suggest anchoring at the floor and the standing back and doing the dead against a stretched band of that makes any sense
Looking forward to this bench press thing on Saturday. Sure, Julius Maddox is like 450 pounds and kinda sloppy but nobody has demolished records like he has since Z with the log and Eddie with the deadlift. Kinda doubt he gets 800 but shouldn't take away with what he's done.
There’s a guy (Perseus) competing in that event from the gym I train at when I visit my parents. Under the radar 275 guy who actually has the squat world record. He should smoke 600.

Hurting(hopefully not injuring) myself on a deload week is pretty frustrating. Likely back to waking up twice a night to roll out my upper back, always fun. Hope you guys just getting back into it aren't going too crazy to begin with.
I used the curl bar. The ppl had me just do 1 set of 5 but I did 3 sets of ten bc I didn't trust myself with heavy weight with improper form so I just did light weight and focused on form. Today is leg day and Ive always just skipped leg day in the last but gonna actually try to be a man and do it now. 3 days a week with a ppl seem fine? I feel like only working out the muscles one time a week seems odd, I guess if I hit a wall I can change to 6 times a week I just didn't want to go to hard at the start.
Good job not worrying about weight on the bar yet. 1 day a week per muscle group isn’t quite optimal, BUT if you can make progress with it then do it. You can always add volume throughout training but if you start out in the deep end you don’t have anywhere to go
Gotcha, was trying to start off slower since I haven't weight trained in quite some time. Was gonna do every other day work out essentially with cardio on the other days. Until I felt like stopped progressing. It's hard to get a way from an couple hours with a 6 month old every day.
4 hours waiting for a COVID test. Straight to the gym and took a 10lb jump from last weeks top single on bench. I’ll take it.

Opened at 722 Jumped to 800, but his right side was missing an entire 25kg plate. Didn’t know until it was unracked and he almost dropped it.
Whne you said loaded wrong I figured they were missing maybe a small change plate. How do you leave off an entire fucking full plate.
