pperc while buying I asked about the M20 and he has requested two bottles. Said they hardly ever get to Oregon but when they land he has a shot at. So now we play the waiting game.
It was a Liquor Barn (I don't believe part of the bigger chain) and part of the sign is down so it says Liquor Ba. This place burning down or falling apart is inevitable, I felt no need to speed the process up.
6 year Baby Saz. I wish I had the hook up to use/waste that as my old fashioned recipe. But I am but a lowly hunter.
Love this thread. My palate is growing and starting to enjoy the higher proofs and notice the subtleties in the varieties and what I like and what I don't. Never wanted to spend much (been staying at $50 or less generally) because I knew I wouldn't appreciate the product so why waste the money, but now...I'm ready. Stopped into a local store and they have a MM private select store pick on sale for $62. Based on the recs of the various MMPS comments I was thinking that would be a good grab. Yes?
I really like the MMPS, but every bottle will be different due to the staves used. It will tell you on the back of the bottle which stave composition it is. Some are spicy some are smooth and mellow.
Got a hold of a ECBP B120, it was delicious like usual, but I thought a lot better than the A batch. Think tonight I’ll do a blind tasting with the B520, A120, and B519 (have just a little left and was saving it).
Told myself I wasn’t going to buy anything for a bit, that lasted all of 36 hours. Got a text about a RR Store Pick, instant buy.
Just poured some B519 over a big cube after a hike with the pup... delicious. Is there anything this bottle can't do?!
I figured it would hit around 1000 on the secondary market based on GOTG prices but north of 2 grand for a bottle that no one even knows how it tastes is just silly.
