Happy 26th anniversary 6/11/94. This is one of my favorite weeks every year. Dialed it up early this morning. Cheers to an absolute freight train of a show Energy through the roof. The YEM drop in right after the ridiculous energy from Wilson and CDT is just too much. "This is the part of the show where we play the best YEM ever played, early in the 1st set." PHISH, SATURDAY 06/11/1994 RED ROCKS AMPHITHEATRE Morrison, CO SET 1: Wilson > Chalk Dust Torture, You Enjoy Myself > Rift, Down with Disease, It's Ice > Tela, Stash SET 2: Also Sprach Zarathustra > Run Like an Antelope, Fluffhead, Scent of a Mule, Split Open and Melt, The Squirming Coil > Maze, Contact, Frankenstein ENCORE: Suzy Greenberg
Also happy 20th anniversary to the Japan tour. Started 6/9, so you’re only two shows behind if you want to do a full relisten as I’m doing.
Thank you. We are going to intermit. Briefly intermitting. To replenish liquids in our body and get ready for another set. So we hope you all will relax, have a great time. There’s a lot more music, but the music will be better if we take a little breather to intermit. So please, I hope you all will intermit as well, and take nourishment. Take nourishment both spiritual, liquid, and solid, as we will whilst we intermit. Thank you very much. It is now the intermission. Happy 20th birthday to the goat show
Haven’t listened to this in far too long. Just put on the first set Gumbo>Llama. Going to be a slow build to maybe the goat set
Andy Thorn from Leftover Salmon covering Mac MillersGood News. Pretty dope. I’m not the biggest rap guy, Miller was an incredible lyricist. Great writter https://www.jambase.com/article/leftover-salmon-andy-thorn-mac-miller-cover
I always thought Mac Miller sucked but I’ve heard enough people I like speak highly of him. I need to give him another listen
I think this is the earliest pro-shot footage we have ever seen. And maybe the earliest we will ever see. So damn close to ‘94. It makes me tingle a bit.
Made a comment to my wife a few minutes ago about how it’s interesting seeing a 95 phish show in this quality. All that I can remember seeing from around then are VHS tapes. Kuroda’s light show was not what I was expecting at all
Happy 26th birthday to the goat Divided Sky and possibly the goat Bowie, too. Top 5 all timer without question
I'm not sure if this belongs in this thread or the DBT/Jason Isbell thread but if you haven't listened to New Madrid before give it a listen
The 8/1/98 Mike’s Groove is straight fire I don’t know that you will find a stronger start to a show on paper than Ramble On > Mike’s Song -> Esther > Paug. Love the new mix.
Pretty cool. Goose made CNN for their virtual bingo tour which is a fun idea https://www.cnn.com/2020/06/20/entertainment/goose-virtual-tour-coronavirus-trnd/index.html
12.11.99 opening sequence of Hood > Mikes > Simple > Hydrogen > Paug ain’t too shabby either It doesn’t flow as well, but the 6.10.00 first set with that Disease and that Piper as songs 1 and 3 is absurd too. Worked all day yesterday and was beat when I got home, now entertaining the in laws for Father’s Day, so no chance to listen to 8.1.98 yet. I’m blasting it after dinner when I’m drunk and don’t give a fuck though.
I desperately want Shapiro to release this show. It also really bugs me that only 4 2000 shows have been released. Hoping for a Japan tour box one of these days.
Little taste of Goose bingo last night. Drive is such a great song https://liveforlivemusic.com/news/goose-bingo-tour-night-one-recap/
I know none of y’all are biscuits fans but they’re currently playing the infield of an empty Citizens Bank Park for black lives matter. P cool. Stripped down, no lights, no stage
Nope. Hard coming back down to earth. That being said, this is actually one of the better 3.0 shows. Summer ‘15 was a great tour.
Didn’t catch this one, but did see every show from Magnaball through Dicks. The run ended with the THANK YOU encore. Pure amazing
not into them, but this is cool. Uncivilized Area is also one of my favorite studio albums. Not overly techno like they would become
Review: Set didn’t get too out there, as expected... but they were tighter (Or more sober) and played more enthusiastically than any show I’ve seen in recent history. Amazing what happens when this band actually practices and takes shit seriously. Now I’m just excited for us to get a damn vaccine so I can spend my entire savings on going to see live music every weekend
Do we talk CBDB in here too? Watched the end of one of their sets last night and it seemed like it brought the heat. Seen em a couple of times back at Auburn, but never really listened to them otherwise
I may sometimes knock the combo as ameuterish, but it’s really hard to listen to a Scarlet > Fire without getting into a serious head bob
Loving bingo tour. Production has been great. It has made for some strange looking setlists but they are still killing it. Really like the addition of Jeff if he stays on. He was great on upright bass for the acoustic quarantine shows and has been awesome on the 2nd kit/percussion for bingo. Lots of options there with him in the lineup. I read last night he was in Rick's previous band. Some heaters left on the ball list for tonight.
Goose with a little secret set last night on Bingo your. Tweekz songs Achy Breaky Heart then they switch back for a funky version of Arrow. Arrow is such a great song
the band is just so much fun. Great covers, originals, goofy behaviors and traditions now forming. They are great to fans and interact with them. I don’t think I’ve seen a band have as much fun as these guys.
