It's getting allocated because their demand for black label is so high, they need the barrels for that. It will be released twice a year coming soon.
Just picked up these three. No idea on the Pepper, but I wanted to give it a try. Can't find any reviews. Does anyone have a chart or a way to figure out Four Roses tiers? I can grab about 5 or 6 of these from 2015. The other's are OBSQ.
That's decent price. They have more? I would take 2 to make the shipping worthwhile. For tier, i think that's a tier 1 FR but hard to see the label
Here is my review on the Old Pepper... Nose: Marshmallow, caramel, brown sugar, Cherry, ethanol...overall substantial and enjoyable. Palate: Black pepper, burnt caramel, black cherry, ethanol, oak Finish: mostly pepper and oak with some heat. 8.5/10. I typically shy away from peppered bourbons, but there is something about the way the pepper and oak compliment each other in this case. Just enough fruit and caramel pills it all together. Overall very good.
Finally got a MWND from here. Cheapest I could find it anywhere online or in store. https://www.gothamwines.com/sku18662.html
The Masters Keep 17 is as delicious as you would expect. I would love a little more proof, but it’s so easy to drink and on par with a W12 for me. It could be a problem.
The only tier that "worth more" is Tier 6. Tier is just floor of the rickhouse. Higher the floor, the hotter it gets, the more water evaporation, the higher the proof.
no don't. that's a $65-$75 bottle. You could maybe get more since it's a 2015 and has the gold neck instead of thew new leather neck, but doubt it. It's sub 10 years old.
I just checked the Total Wine website for a Louisville shop and they have the Wild Turkey RB for $40.99 and the Angels Envy for $41.99. The Stagg isn't listed.
Realtree Buck I'm certain your store would have no problem giving you 6 bottles of CYPB, so I will also take one. Thanks.
Yeah, I'd say buy it and buy as many as you can because people itt (including me) would gladly buy them from you.
