That little touch encapsulates why I’m so pumped about Gio. I love CP, but he takes that shot 100 times out of 100. Gio doing stuff like this with him out wide :D
Switch Adams and Wes IMO. Jozy up top for probably one more year and hopefully then Sargent takes over.
It turned out well of course, and the touch was perfect, but given the risk of offside, I think the shot is the better option there tbh.
I get what you’re saying but to be clear, he played a ton this year for Bayern II. He wasn’t regularly on the bench for the senior team. Hopefully he would be ready for steady minutes for a lower Bundesliga club. If not, maybe Bundesliga 2 but not sure if that’s better than playing for Bayern II in 3 Liga
Injuries have put a bit of a damper on how good he’s been this year. He’s easily Chelsea’s most productive winger on a per minute basis. .73 goals or assists per 90 is excellent.
A healthy Jermaine Jones would have made a huge impact on this 2010 team. Instead we had to start Edu or Ricardo Clark next to young Bradley.
Jesus our attackers besides Dempsey and Landon were trash. Herculez Gomez, Edson Budle and Robbie Findlay
No doubt but I've seen plenty of USMNT players totally scuff that finish Which says more about them than him probably but the point stands
I think that’s kinda unfair. Defense provided him with the ball, but he still had to get the ball down the field and, IMO, put Mendy in the spot to have to make that fuckup. Plus the finish >
I’ve seen Mendy enough to know that he didn’t need much chance. It was a really good play by Pulisic but Mendy just also deserves a ton of credit for being a giant fuckup and as a City fan I’m frustrated.
Right. I guess I just took your post as the goal happening fell all on Mendy when Pulisic still had plenty to do.
Looks like there ain’t gonna be no Hex this cycle. Thoughts on how CONCACAF handles this WC qualifying. https://www.si.com/soccer/2020/06/2...ancel-concacaf-september-world-cup-qualifying
