Chase and Brooks were partners at the New Orleans partner tournament recently last season. I think he’s qualified for a few others as well
Really hope this spreads to more cities Welling is involved with Tigers design team, so they have their foot in the door in Chicago.
So I guess Champ tested positive and is out. https://www.espn.com/golf/story/_/id/29354557/cameron-champ-travelers-testing-positive-covid-19
Graham McDowell’s caddies also tested positive. And was with Graham and his caddie at a funeral? Not great, Bob.
So assuming that's two more positives, we've gone from 0 player/caddie positives at the Charles Schwab to 1 last week at the RBC Heritage to 5 for the Travelers ... gotta think they're thinking about shutting it down this week. The person I know connected to the PGA tour said they overestimated how much the players/caddies would change their normal routines - they were still all eating out, acting like things were normal, etc. last week on Hilton Head. Also, if you saw the shot of the practice range right before they started after the rain delay on Sunday, everyone was within a few feet of each other taking practice swings warming up - if one of them had it then, most of them have it now.
Well, this will effectively shut the Tour down for two weeks, right? CT requiring visitors from FL to quarantine for two weeks, effectively means all the players from FL (most of them) flying in this weekend have to self isolate
Problem with Hilton Head is that it was loaded with tourists not involved with the tour. Mac Homa said on his podcast that he couldn't go to the hotel restaurant even because it was just jam packed with people. He said Colonial wasn't like that. Also, not everyone fits on the chartered plane so lots of caddies are flying commercial.
Yep. Already reports that the schools that had numerous positive tests can be attributed back to large social gathering (ie. partying) that is going to be impossible to stop in college.
Played my best round ever this morning. Shot a 77 with six birdies. Also three doubles and a triple though! For reference, I’m a 14 HCP and have only broken 80 once. It’s gonna be a good day.
Feels bad for Brooks. He did an interview yesterday and said he'd completely locked down. He told his team if they weren't ok with locking down on the road not to come. He brought a chef and his own gym equipment. He was taking this shit really seriously. Said he missed 3 months for his knee and 3 months for covid, he was tired of not playing.
IMO, that's always been the biggest issue with trying to play. The players can talk a good game concerning protocols and all that the leagues and teams are/should be doing, but it's on them to follow those rules. Obviously we know that some don't care to, so it just ruins everything.
Sounds like they didn't learn much from playing Thursday at the Players while the world was shutting down.
I have a projector in my backyard and thought this would be awesome to hook up and play a round with the boys. Lolololol at $2K though.
My family owned a bar while I was growing up, so I’ve always been interested in getting a Golden Tee machine. The cost is absolutely outrageous though.
Congrats, you beat me by 12 today. I couldn't putt worth a shit. Missed 3 birdies inside 10 feet. Played better on the back though... 47-42
Wayfair has the classic Golden Tee arcade game for $400 shipped. https://www.wayfair.com/Arcade-1Up-...kFOzWJ1hbzvDNOXaAT1aXOli73mTFBIRoChDwQAvD_BwE
