I was gonna say something, but Cornelius got it right. Just because a racist holds a door open for me doesn't make them any less a miserable racist.
Let it out of you want bro. These are weird times for sure and a difference of opinion doesn't bother me at all. Let's get a beer sometime, I'm not kidding. Chad is a dildo though.
the Scene has become such a joke under Bill Freeman. He bought the damn paper solely to give himself a platform to publish his stupid letters to the community if you invest in payday lending services you're a piece of shit
The funniest part of this is my mind went through like 5 different things you could think I'm "complicit" in Separate note - did we discuss this? I am PUMPED.
What the GOP passed in the middle of the night is garbage and probably unconstitutional....but the GOP in Tennessee is abominable so it's the least surprising thing ever. At least we had on the floor discussions about the Bible being the state book because that fucking matters
Lol a heartbeat abortion law. Incredible The Senate also took up a bill from House Speaker Cameron Sexton that would make vandalism of state property and camping on state property a felony with a 30-day mandatory minimum prison sentence. The bill was inspired by protests at the Capitol, but Sexton confirmed that it would apply to people experiencing homelessness, too. How heartless do you have to be to support the GOP??? Unreal State senators here are so fucked up
This is type of bill that get passed by shitty GOP legislatures and always lose in Court. Just embarrassing
I am a moderate that leans right on a lot of issues. I agree with the camping issue as a former downtown employee for 5 years, aggressive homelessness is a huge issue. We should not allow people to camp on state/city property, either for a protest or if you are homeless. Same reason why the city cleared up the homeless camp under the Ellington Parkway bridge before COVID. We should have given that Church Street land to the developer so he could have built a homeless shelter along Charlotte/James Roberston. I don't agree with the abortion bill or us keeping the Nathan Bedford Forrest bust in the capital. Also, the wording around why we declined to honor Ashanti Posey. She had a bright future but why was she dealing drugs and how have they not caught anyone when she had someone else with her in the car? How often do we honor murder victims? A lot of WTF bills lately.
If the only bad thing Blackburn did was help Comcast and AT&T stop Google fiber she would still be a shitty senator. To her credit, she's consistently done far worse things to cement her status as a horrible person.
fwiw I found a DIY carwash on Charlotte right before Brewhouse West, near Jim and Nick's. Forgot about that I guess guy who works there does a nice job keeping it clean, much respect to that dude
apparently a bunch of the employees quit at Corner Pub in Green Hills 49ers not allowed to work out in CA so a group of 15 or so skilled position players are in Nashville working out. One has tested positive. Lol yikes
We have yet to try El Fuego’s. Rosepepper is less than a mile from the house so that was always our go to Mexican. We have ordered more times from Las Palmas during COVID than any other restaurant.
Good. Jalen Hurd came to the gym I train at one day. How Butch Jones thought he was a better RB than Kamara will be an all time mystery
Baja Burrito supposed to open up again in a few weeks. They've apparently been super focused on protecting their employees and not rushing them back before they're ready ordered a ton of curry and naan from TAJ on Nolensville. Damn that place is great
I had no idea Finezza on Harding near the 100/70 split got taken over by the people who own Coco's Market and Cafe Coco it's now Coco's West. That is a really nice addition to the Belle Meade/West Meade area lotta people probably missing the Krystal's there on Harding, apparently closed in December. They served the heck out of construction workers in the neighborhood
drove downtown to walk around and check out some buildings but didn't get too far before it started raining Spoiler saw a packed party bus with tons of girls grinding all over each other lol downtown is back to normal basically minus the hockey games and concerts
mrs Titties and I know the owner of El Fuego pretty well. You won’t find a nicer, harder working mother fucker. He’s good people and worth supporting with your business. Plus, their food is great.
My girlfriend moved to dayshift at Vandy today and had not worked in the past 8 days. Nightshift has two confirmed COVID + nurses, one has symptoms and the other is asymptomatic. Another nurse has 103 fever, but no other symptoms and is awaiting the test results. A 4th nurse has symptoms, but his test came back negative. I am donating blood today at the American Red Cross because I do not know my blood type, and they include COVID antibody testing.
my mom is the lab manager at Sumner Regional in Gallatin (also a cancer survivor). She told me yesterday that one of her phlebotomists just tested positive and they e been around each other this week. They are cautious and wearing PE gear and all of that but I am concerned.
Hopefully neither of y'all have it hit close to home. If you do, let us know if there is anything we can do to help.
And Wilson County declared a state of emergency. Shelby County is talking about going back to phase 1 opening. While Nashville YOLOs to phase 3.
there is a house on Hobbs across the street from Julia Green with a sign that says "Free Flynn Now" picked up US Border Cantina in Bellevue last night
Taco Sa1ad someone told me today that Winner's and Loser's was shut down for 2 weeks along with some other bars. I haven't seen it reported yet though.
Nashville needs to come up with a city law requiring that construction companies cannot just block off an entire sidewalk without creating a temporary access path on the same side of the street it is such bullshit that you need to cross the street, walk down a block past the site and then cross back to the side of the street you need to be on this city needs a massive investment in sidewalks. So tired of walking down Jocelyn Hollow and having some ass hole in a Range Rover flying past me at like 50 MPH while texting and paying absolutely no attention to anyone who might be walking along the shoulder
Zanies closed for two weeks two after a performer tested positive too. Seemed like they were trying to do it right.
That's correct. Winners, Losers, and Dawghouse. Whoa bro ! Don't have to come after me like that Spoiler I know you're talking about the bars but I just wanted to say "woah bro"
been running on the track at Hillwood HS the past few days. Really easy to keep your distance there and the surface is pretty soft. Great place to get some sun too. Football field makes it a good spot to do bodyweight exercises or use resistance bands, etc their tennis courts are always so underutilized in case you are looking for a place to play. Their baseball field has a sponsorship banner from Advance Financial....Bill Freeman's shitty payday lending service. It's pretty fucked up that a public HS has such advertising IMO
finally, masks required in Nashville as of 5 PM this coming Sunday https://www.nashvillepost.com/busin...health-board-orders-mask-mandate-in-nashville https://www.tennessean.com/story/ne...-masks-public-coroanvirus-spreads/3266522001/ gonna be so many pissed off dipshit GOP cowards from Cheatham County and Dickson when they get turned away from Katy's Hallmark Shop or Jersey Mike's
Good. Maybe that will make it so I don’t worry as much going out in public because of all the dumbasses not wearing masks.
Bobbie's Dairy Dip they've been a West Nashville staple for as long as I can remember. Solid milkshakes but the real reason you go there is to spoil your dog, especially an older one deserving of lots of special treats they have a pup cup that is a small vanilla soft-serve cup packed with peanut butter and bacon. My vehicle now looks like a bomb went off in it but well worth it to see how happy it made him. If you live within a short drive just pick it up and bring it home Hattie B's makes parking around there a nightmare though. Anyone been to Twilight Tavern next door? Looks like a cool place to go during normal times
Wow is 440 to 65 south finally done? Haven’t had to drive that way since moving to east but that was such pain and seemed like it took them forever to finish the construction
It seemed like construction speed up during the shut down honestly. Or I was just on that stretch so rarely that it seemed to speed up.
So Metros mask order includes an exemption if you are not medically able to wear one. And you don't have to verify that either. So all the dipshits that aren't wearing them now are just gonna claim they can't for medical reasons and continue not wearing them. Also don't have to wear them in church or educational institutions.
MBA has signs on campus saying masks are required in all buildings and on campus in general saw someone walking their dog without one and stared them down hard
