oh that's a regular Weller Full Proof store pick I believe. Value around 300-325. CYPB is 500-550 for the 2020. There is another new bottle coming called Weller SiB. I don't know what proof it'll be at. I don't think any have been released yet.
The reality of whiskey right now is that the opportunity cost to pass up the highest resale bottle is too great. You get the CYPB, and either enjoy it, or sell it and buy the bottle you really want
But not before taking multiple pictures of the bottle and posting them around the internet for bottle porn.
One of my locals just reopened today. Grabbed a Decades, GB store pick, and this wheat whiskey (was curious).
Yes, it didn.t get the greatest reviews (7.5/10), but I like wheated bourbons, so I was really curious to see what happens when the recipe is switched. That said, this is wheat and rye, so I am definitely curious.
By the way, IMO it is 17 then Decades then Revival, in terms of the MK Bourbon's, but Decades is much closer to 17 then it is to Revival.
So I just took a sip of the 2nd Chance Wheat whiskey. It stars off like a regular wheater and then something happens to the finish. I can't really explain it but maybe it's just the lack of corn that leaves me longing. I think I am going to try to age this in my barrel and see what happens. It's definitely tasty.
I like to let my wife pick my pour from a couple options. She picked Michter's over Rowan's Creek tonight.
