Puerto Rico doesnt reports test numbers but they do report positive tests, so the only confirmed number of tests is the number of positives. HTH https://estadisticas.pr/en/covid-19
In the spring of 2010 stories first swirled around Sen. Rand Paul’s certification as an ophthalmologist by an outfit called the “National Ophthalmology Board,” an entity he founded. This week I discovered that while he continues to present himself as “board certified” the NOB has been out of business since 2011, and in any event, does not under Kentucky law permit him to advertise as “board certified.”
That was embarrassing by Rand. This is not a controversial issue. You can have a conversation with the most renowned epidemiologist in the US w/out making an ass out of yourself.
Said something about Fauci saying sports couldn't happen. Fauci said that he never said that. Rand wants schools to open no matter what b/c kids don't spread CV.
Woo boy, we'll see if they continue this because there's no way there won't be huge pressure on them to not take major precautions since tons of infected people are going to travel there.
PR has been taking it very seriously due to their demographic. I still went to the beach everyday while there. Curfew did get pushed back to 9pm. Most places take your temp before letting you in. All in all I felt fairly safe there.
The devil’s lettuce? Fat chance. And there is nothing “civil liberties” about these morons. They are all pro-censorship, pro-stop and frisk, pro-“tough on crime”, anti-abortion, anti-legalization, anti-gay marriage...basically anti any civil liberty.
I get that he probably has to say something, but yeah this doesn't mean jack shit just like when Florida did it. You need to not be able to walk outside without passing a testing facility on every block.
I would strongly assert that you can't shelter even the ones taking it seriously. And many of them live in communities and facilities where they can't or won't just stay in their own little tiny apartment (whether assisted living or not). They have caregivers, housecleaners, personal shoppers, etc. etc. With all the 20-30 years olds getting it and people saying no big deal, this was inevitable.
Imagine spending hundreds of dollars a day for the opportunity to let a dude in a Mickey Mouse costume kill you and your family. Justtakemymoney.gif
This is incredibly irresponsible. If you're going to be dumb/craven enough to reopen a theme park during this time you should at least provide testing to your employees, if for no other reason than to avoid being shut down two weeks later.
We've talked about this in this thread and this was the first article i saw about it saying that the theory may not be correct
I've seen national articles mentioning some people still want to vote for Trump because they trust him to lead the economy more than Biden entering month five of this pandemic and the president still refuses to enact an incredibly simple measure that could save $1 trillion????
i'm an idiot. i thought the tweet said 1M positive per day! i'm multi-tasking. sorry. 1M doesn't even make sense.
