Afaik, we're not even ramping up production of masks in a way that will be meaningful in the fall/winter.
I don't disagree, I just hope they have a plan to support these businesses. They should probably come out and say they will not open until a vaccine is available too.
Yep, but appears we aren't going to get any more stimulus money, at least to a degree that it's going to keep small businesses afloat. Really fucking sucks so many of them are opening NOT because they don't care, but because they have to.
its a ton of jobs so I am not sure I would agree there is "zero need" but yes I do agree I don't see how we contain the virus and allow them to open.
We are going to be in a very bad place if they let this expire at the end of July. I will add I do think they will extend it
Also not just a moratorium on evictions, but cancelling any already filed and full stop on the whole process.
Probably not going to see the deaths go up to the 1500-2000+ per day numbers for another week or two... treating the virus has become more successful too so hopefully we won’t get there
I was speaking more relatively. As pperc said; these hospitals have done an incredible job keeping people alive and as noted the demographic for those which are catching the virus obviously are at a much reduced risk of fatality. My question was more around if the weekend lag was still as significant as it has been. I believe Texas reported that several hospitals who had not been reporting figures over the weekend had started to do 7 day reporting. I was hopeful this included fatalities and we would not see a spike like we have in the past.
I think everyone including myself continues to forget that while the hospitals are doing a good job keeping covid patients alive as they get more and more saturated that will not be the case any more, for both covid and non covid icu cases. So yeah I keep getting excited about deaths being lower relative case count but as hospitalizations continue to grow that mortality rate isn’t going to be sustainable
Exactly. They aren't pro any liberties. Instead, they are gigantic selfish pieces of shit that leave a skidmark on society. They have failed in this society so they reject it. Trump finally gave these people an outlet which says "it is ok to reject this society. You are not alone - join our society instead." Any assertion of control over them by the society they reject results in Karen episodes.

US buys up world stock of key Covid-19 drug. No other country will be able to buy Remdesivir, which can help recovery from Covid-19, for next three months at least. theguardian.com/us-new
It's a conspiracy theory that the deep state is waging war behind the scenes against trump. It's basically a way to frame all the bad stuff going on in a good light for Trump. It's batshit insane
Noooooo. Don’t ask this. You don’t want to know. Keep living in the world you currently are without knowing what it is.
Primary disease vectors in the US right now appear to be SEC students and other various Young people across the South
those deaths are a bad bad sign of what’s to come imo edit: 2 people 50 or younger with no underlying health conditions. yikes
