It's done for publicity. Twitch has been doing these temp bans for years to stir up publicity. They made a decision long ago to call them "bans" when suspension would have been a more appropriate word. "Banned" hits a little different in the headlines.
I'm fine with them banning him consistent with their ToS but the president promotes twitch and not the other way around, so it is entirely self-interested on the part of twitch to get a headline. I'm sure they have more important issues like the platform being filled with abusers.
If they’re banning people for sexual misconduct, how would it not apply to him? He’s admitted on a recording to being a serial sexual assaulter of women.
Chances that twitch/amazon wanted to find a way to drop Doc and the money tied to his new contract to free up resources for their push to signed Ninja and Shroud? They found a reason to drop him, his money, and hate against the twitch platform to free up money? They probably see him as a liability with everything that's happening now.
its amazon...there's no such thing as a salary cap for acquiring streamers, 0% its about just the money.
It’s Amazon. Regardless it’s just about money. They just think dropping him now is good for their revenue long term, whether it’s nuking his attempt at becoming a competitor or its because of bad press for some other issue. Either way, Amazon is a giant robot that is purely utilitarian.
has any advertiser except gamerfuel not taken down all connections to him? razers repost of his page seemed automated as they then took it back down quickly
That’s just bizarre. You would think the only reason they would have to do that is for copyright complaints.
You guys really wanna go down a crazy streamer wormhole? There is a toxic Starcraft streamer named avilo. Few weeks ago I saw someone quote tweet him melting down about a “girlfriend”. The girlfriend put out twitlonger post. He’s for sure a psycho, this was my “that’s enough internet for me today” yesterday.
Dmbrandon, smite streamer and previous smite caster, received a donation saying thank you for saving my life if it wasn't for you I would've taken my life. Real doozie here He has (had) a large following inside and outside of smite and multiple other games. Throughout the years, he has been the streamer with the highest numbers (1-2k viewers per stream) for smite outside of when the pro league plays. Naturally he took advantage of this. In doing so, he turns out to be a large, manipulating 30some odd year old who would take in high schoolers and "groom" them of sorts. He would control who they talk to, interact with, what they think about others in his cult, etc etc. Complete emotional control/abuse, manipulation, instances of non consensual touching/kissing, ostracizing members when they don't conform. Terrible human being in general. Made fun of people who had anxiety, depression yada yada. Anything you can think of short of sexual assault. He'd pay for people to visit him, attend smite championships, and hold it above their head. Awful human being that wasn't banned from smite dispite being a toxic POS. Hirez doesn't acknowledge his toxicity throughout the entire thing sans banning his main account. All while being a huge advocate for sexual assault victims, BLM, and every other movement. Big liberal. A few females come forward last week. Numerous other people in his cult follow suite. Everyone is pent up because he's a POS and has been a POS for far too long without repercussions, and call for his head. His content creation rights and accounts are perma'd and he's currently going crazy over this tantrums etc. Same guy who brags about having a Tesla. He's currently trying to spin stories to seem like the victim. /another streamer wormhole
iyam Hi-Rez is a bs developer so I'm not surprised they haven't acted on one of their "best" personalities being a shit head. The company's business model is literally to produce and sell high end rip offs of popular games.
Eh not so much. Smite is a fantastic game. Just not marketed a bit. Yes it's a copy of other mobas with the exception of being 3rd person, but all mobas are. Just like battle royales. Is hirez a bad company? No. Lots of great content, great artwork in Smite. Hell they just released a bundle with avatar skins etc and released Cthulu as a playable God. On the other side, is the head of hirez a giant, slow acting, selfish clueless POS? Absolutely and it's his fault that opinions like this exist. Shit went south when Tribes did.
But wait, there is more, you can check out avilo's feed, complete with his pinned post of a picture he had made of himself and atira.... https://twitter.com/avilosc2
I mean it’s pretty clear he is mentally ill. Posting Discord screenshots as GOTCHAS regardless of how innocuous they are given the situation
Per this xqc guy He then went on to say "It's not a platform thing" relating to the "Brime" assumptions. He also said slasher does know what happened to the Doc but he nor slasher can say what it is because it's actually that bad. He also said "No, he didn't fuck up his contract, it's very hard to fuck up your own twitch contract."
With all this drama going on, now's the perfect time to follow my twitch/youtube/onlyfans twitch.tv/butchcassidy386
I tried to follow on the app. Think I sent you a friend request instead. I’ll follow later when I figure out what I’m doing wrong.
Because the reason is so intense that guys who make a living breaking e-world news don’t even wannna break the news...
Jess deserved that for sticking her nose in there. Although xqc is way off base with his portrayal of Jess and charities. The whole thing was cringey.
I like their group cause they just constantly shit on each other. It's what true friends do, yanno? Plus, they're pretty good at what they do.
