You honestly have to be pure evil to even mention a defendant’s suicide, let alone insinuate that your law suit beat her so badly it caused it. If only we could get even 10% of that passion out of Gallant Knight
I have not researched it beyond looking at a map. People are saying the protesters were on private property. Looks like there is a gate to a private street. 354 Kingshighway Blvd is the google map address that shows their house on the NW corner of KH and Portland Place. Either way, it appears the protesters didn’t come on the property owned by the McCloskeys. Fuck ‘em.
it was a gated neighborhood bc it's where the mayor lived they weren't doing anything to their house except being in the street to protest the mayor
Right. I was just posting what I’d seen going around and trying to make sense of the logistics. They’re enormous fuckbags.
Is the mayor's house on Portland Place? Looking at the Kingshighway address on google maps, it's very easy to see what happened. (Note the streetview shows signage at the gate that reads "private street" and "no trespassing" (as well as "no outlet") but that doesn't mean said signage was in place when this incident went down - not that it makes a difference if you're trying to find an address on Portland Place. So they turned off of Kingshighway through the gate on to Portland Place, at which point they were technically no longer on a public street. What an irrational ridiculous overreaction from those two fucking shitheads. Also, FOH with your "private street" Either be a member of society or go live on a mountain by yourself, pieces of shit.
since when do HOA’s pay for paving streets, street cleaners etc? That’s shit taxes pay for. The city/state don’t somehow disappear at the gate.
this obviously doesn't change my read on the situation any or opinion, but just out of curiosity - do you know that the city pays for that stuff at this point? I was reading that historically what happened was that the residents of this street (and some others) decided to go ahead and pay to have their streets paved before there was a city wide paving scheme established. As part of a result of that decision, the residents were also granted exclusion rights.
Residents pay for upkeep of a private drive. HOA pays for repaving of streets in a gated community. That couple is beyond shitty, but I thought that was an odd part to critique (private road). It’s also the reason they likely won’t be charged with anything. The protestors were trespassing on private property (if it was a private drive). I’m glad there were cool heads there to diffuse the situation.
They were walking on the other side of the street before these turds came out, no where near their property. How the fuck do you mouth breathers justify this shit is beyond me.
Who is justifying? Chill the fuck out. I just said they were on private property. Not that they deserved to be held at gunpoint.
In Florida once you put up a gate and block the general public, maintenance and repairs are on the HOA.
Claims that no one is justifying shit and then proceeds to justify this shit all in the same post, amazing. Also telling me to chill the fuck out while Justifying guns being pulled on people because “they on private property”, you MAGA trash are so predictable.
its been awhile but my understanding was that taxes (property) paid for those those things. I’ve never lived in a gated community so I don’t know for a fact. It’s ridiculous to have gated communities so I hope I am wrong and they pay for everything.
The only reason they arrested them was out of spite. Can’t have other people in there taking away your chances to brutalize and arrest without reason on your own turf.
In Oklahoma once you put a gate on your neighborhood, the neighborhood HOA covers all street maintenance including snow removal
We have quite the judicial system: Spoiler https://twitter.com/specialreports/status/1277958330086879232?s=21
Over the years, especially during this latest movement, I’ve learned that your average person doesn’t realize how corrupt many Judges can be. It is a cop in a robe and they have entirely too much power.
I want Dems to control all three branches just so they can start a conversation about treating the second amendment the way Republicans treat the first.
The cop boss: “Alright folks, today at our police job we have two objectives: 1. Don’t kill anyone. Easy, right? 2. Don’t act like meat head idiots to make more people hate us. Now let’s get out there and cop!” Literally every cop: “Shit, what is it we were not supposed to do today?”
Was there any further discussion on this one? Shit happened so fast. Looked like the guy was pulling out a gun to fire at the cops?
