thanks for your kind words. It's imperative that everyone do their part to promote the welfare of others during these difficult times. And it seems incredibly selfish to be on any campus without a face covering right now. Even if dear leader Trump says they aren't a big deal
I’m just thankful we have caring citizens such as yourself that are so proud of themselves and their policing that they needed to share it on a message board. Keep doing your part, we all thank you!
I believe you need to a written medical excuse and not just like "hurr durr I have a medical complication"
What THEBLUERAIDER said.. the way I read that order was you don't have to verify a medical reason for not wearing one.
This person is going to have a rude awakening next time they go out to their car. My wife saw it crawl out from under it then go back under and up in the undercarriage.
That was from this morning while she was on the way to work and she showed me the video this evening. It was also not near our house, she works out in Brentwood and it was somewhere along the back roads she takes to work.
Cornelius Suttree there are kids lighting off fireworks across the street from me. Can you go glare at them?
there's a major difference between shooting off fireworks and not doing your part to promote public health in the face of a global pandemic fuck the GOP fwiw in bystander invention training they teach that establishing eye contact can be an effective means of ending behavior that is or could become problematic or pose a danger to others again, fuck the GOP and anyone who even considers voting for a single GOP candidate in any election
My agency just got the go ahead to work from home exclusively through August. We were allowed to come in a couple of days per week if we needed/wanted. It’s good to have a good boss.
Heading to Nashville over labor day weekend. If you guys had to pick like 2-3 restaurants that are musts, which would you pick?
Monell's in normal times but from what I can tell they've shut down for the time being. Keep an eye on them to see if their Germantown location opens back up. They've got a 4.8* rating on Google after like 4,000 reviews, it's insanely good https://nashville.eater.com/maps/best-hot-chicken-nashville
We aren't really the "fine dining" type, I definitely want some authentic hot chicken, outside of that I'm ignorant to what Nashville is known for honestly. A nice dinner may be in the cards as we're going for my wife's birthday.
Slow Burn might be a good authentic hot chicken option for ya. Not sure what their dining situation is like.
For hot chicken Prince’s is the OG, but their main location closed. They do have another one southeast of town. Bolton’s is one of the older ones, but personally not my favorite. 400 Degrees and Helen’s may be worth a look. Other casual spots: -Arnold’s -Waldos Chicken and Beer -Desanos Pizza -Pharmacy -Burger Up -Joyland -Edleys -Peg Leg Porker Nicer: -Mockingbird -Henrietta Red -5th and Taylor -City House -Folk
Fixing to go pick up an order from Hugh Baby's on Charlotte. Didn't realize they had multiple locations My parents love it Anyone been to Big Bad Breakfast? Kind of hate the name but it looks good online
2nd this. City House and 5th and Taylor are our two favorite restaurants. I always recommend M Street Restaurants to friends and family when they come to visit. Whiskey Kitchen or Saint Anejo.
COVID update...Vandy COVID unit is 85% full, with only 5 open beds. My American Red Cross blood COVID antibody test came back negative, but I found out I am O+. There are some studies out there that people with O blood types are less likely to catch COVID than people with A blood types.
Still a felony for possessing 14.1 grams Step in the right direction but still a long way to go. Also, half the people at BNA are wearing masks. If you are flying AA or United, nobody is wearing a mask. The people coming to visit our town are the main culprits not wearing masks. Me being "required" to wear a mask while walking in a park with my girlfriend is a little ridiculous, but at least we know who to thank for that. Someone go stare at them in some type of way so it gets resolved.
IIRC you don't have to wear it outside unless you're within six feet of people you don't live with. Or on private property where it's enforced Plenty of shitty old white men from Nashville doing their part to cancel CFB season, just go pick up food at Sportsman's in Belle Meade
Looks like you’re right The news two nights ago said it was required unless walking by yourself, but there are exceptions to walking, biking and driving
The 15 or so teenagers playing basketball at Eastland Park yesterday were, in fact, not old white men. A lot of people are ignoring guidelines or doing things that can spread COVID.
Some of yall act really shocked that a bunch of adults are being told to do something and aren't doing it
Not really shocked just disappointed and disgusted. It's a global pandemic that is wreaking havoc on this country. You'd figure most people would put the greater good over their self-interests. Sucks so many won't around these parts
Nashville is doing a “great” job compared to other big cities. The rural TN towns don’t take this serious at all. One of the kayak rentals this weekend asked us to remove our masks while on the bus. They were over 65. edited to add air quotes bc broadway
Floating the Harpeth for the 4th....can't wait to take advantage of those SUCKERS at Tip-A-Canoe when I make that 2-hour trip my 8-hour sugar momma
It specifically sounds like Cooper is saying fuck you to Broadway here. This doesn't sound like it affects us much at all. It does suck but it needed to happen.
Big bad Breakfast is very good. Not a fan of their home made bloody marry mix but the food is awesome. We went to Broadway last Friday afternoon and it was very busy and not one person was wearing a mask besides employees.
Probably gonna pick up from Hugh Baby's as often as I can before I leave town. That has been one of the best additions to the Charlotte corridor that I can remember They do an absolute killing. Super reasonable prices and so good for fast casual. Their slaw dogs
