obviously. I meant, like what the fuck was there argument for not letting them have a dog in their own house.
It was 8 years ago now so I’ve moved on. Her dad owns a large business and her mom has nothing to do all day. So her new hobby was to control my wife’s life. They’d threaten to evict us, fly down and stay with us with zero notice , etc. We got a dog and my wife sent her mom a video. Her moms text said “take that dog back or you need to move out”. So we moved out a week later (rented at first). Her parents didn’t realize we had left for almost 2 months after when they showed up. They demanded we give her car back. They didn’t realize keys were on the counter. We gave everything they had given her back before they could even use it as leverage.
I bet they had camera's in the house; psychos. Good job on getting out of that situation as soon as possible, and leaving everything they provided behind so they couldn't use that against you.
fucking psychopaths. Didn't even give a reason. just said, ditch the dog. WTF at showing up to stay unannounced. I could get the argument that they wanted to stay with you guys when they visited because they paid for a house that had an extra room, but fuck off with zero warning. Great job ditching them. They will figure out how stupid they are when the first grandkid arrives and your FB is filled with posts of your parents being GOAT tier grandparents and they haven't even met your kid.
I love the silent move. My wife recently divorced her parents and they’ve threatened to drive across the country to confront her (lol, that would go well), we're probably moving back to Denver in the next few months and she can’t wait for them to not know where she lives.
It’s pretty easy to find Where people live now a days , but it took them 4 years to figure out her new phone number, and they(her mom) did that by tricking a receptionist.
This is true. We’ve talked about potentially buying our next house through an LLC because of the ease of searching public records.
Searching the Secretary of State’s website for BitchBoyz, Inc., finding NineteenNine as its registered agent and the address is the home he just bought
Long story, condensed a little bit: My wife had a confrontation with her brother in Sept 2018 that caused her to no longer be on speaking terms with him. During said confrontation, she felt physically threatened, so she was just out at that point. Told her parents that she wasn't going to have any interaction with him going forward. Throughout 2019, her parents tried to get them to reconcile, which she told them to stop and it wasn't happening. We still planned on going out to visit them for Christmas. There would be minimal, if any at all, contact with her brother and she decided that would be fine. She gets a text from her brother on Thanksgiving Day that sends her into a complete panic attack. The next couple of weeks, it comes out that her brother and dad were changing the plans for Christmas and it would mean we'd be driving up from the parents house to the brother's house to stay. Wife says that's a no go, y'all are moving the goal posts here and that's not what we agreed to. They brush it off. Early December she sends both of her parents a text saying that we're not coming to Christmas, there was nothing changing her mind on it and that she needed time to herself and then blocked their numbers. Her parents and her aunt start panic calling me and other friends of hers, we all tell them that she's ok, just doesn't feel she can talk to them right now. This doesn't sit well with them and they call our local authorities to do a wellness check on her. Cops show up at my door less than 6 hours after she sent the original text. Funny thing was she was already on her way to Denver and wasn't home. Cops tell me that they thought the call was weird and told me they wouldn't be coming back if they call again. Her dad continued to text me saying they were going to drive out, first in early January and again in late March. Both times I told them they would be wasting their time and that they haven't been invited to our house and will not be welcomed. They've since stopped texting/calling me at least. I'm sure there will be more to the story at some point... TL;DR version: wife's dad and brother are classic narcissists and she told them to get bent.
There’s no such thing as TLDR in this thread buddy, but you’re lucky I’m patient. Need more information on how psycho and narcissistic they are. Thanks and sorry that you had to deal with that fallout.
quickest example I can think of for the brother is that he sent my wife shirtless pictures of himself showing off how much weight he had lost...
Preface this that we live at the lake in a pretty secluded area so since the pandemic started, we have had the wife's friends and family (in small #s) over like every other weekend My sister came over last weekend for the 4th (All people who have been to our house multiple times over the years since we bought it) This weekend a friend of mine from college and his wife, who have never been here before are coming Wife is freaking the fuck out, told me today that I must take Friday off to help clean the house (wife stays at home) Has had "allergies" the past couple of days so she hasn't gotten anything done Has already apologized to my buddies wife via text if the house is a 'mess' since the African dust or whatever has her all feeling bad Etc etc
This isn’t about me, but a friend of mine. He’s a few years older than me in his mid 30’s. Two years ago, he’s working a job where he’s earning well over 6 figures, and he’s very good at it. He’s on the verge of getting promoted again and making even more money. His wife works at the same company at a position that he previously worked at, before he was promoted the first time. He then finds out his wife is about to have their second child. He loves his current position, but is working almost 70 hour weeks with travel and everything. His dad was never around growing up, his wife talks about how hard it is when he’s gone that much, and he wants to be a great father. So he steps down, and retakes his old position making a shade over 6 figures but much more reasonable hours, and effectively ends the upward potential of his career, permanently. Flash forward to this week: his wife has accepted the same position that he originally stepped down from for the betterment of their family. She can’t understand why he’s pissed. “I thought you’d be happy for me.”
This is worded as if she accepted before talking it over with him first. If that happened, I'd be salty as fuck
Lmao, fuck that. Even worse if it's like every other company where you have to apply, interview, and wait for a decision. Hiding that is almost like being cheated on
This is literally a Desperate Housewives storyline. Please don’t judge me for watching Desperate Housewives
I bet it’s nice once they are in school though. Got that time at home all to yourself while they are in school. Imagine all that space you have for activities.
