Ospina seemingly has the most major injuries out of any keeper in history. I feel like every time I watch him he’s getting carried off in a stretcher.
Pioli and Ibra have turned this team around. Team is fun to watch. It doesn’t wilt under pressure or feel sorry for itself when they have things go against them. Such a great week of action.
The team plays with confidence and with a distinctive style now. Its still not talented enough to be a top 4 side but with a few additions over the summer we are close. But a new coach will probably lead to another slow start... I hope Pioli gets a good job because he's earned it. Looks like Maldini is gonna pass on staying on. Such a shame
Agree. I also think they were both handballs and there’s not really an argument there but it’s extremely unlucky. They weren’t egregious
If you can count on anything in Italy it’s Juventus will always have the refs backing them. that game probably locks up the league for them.
Probably half those are a result of VAR and bogus. Since VAR in Italy will call anything a hand ball.
I saw Immobile also had 11-12 penalties too and was like wtf Rashford leads Prem with 6 (though Bruno has another 3) and Lewa led Bundesliga with 5
The fight between Sinsa and Gasperini was a great listen. One of the few pluses of not having noise pumped into the feed.
At this rate we are going to be fielding out primavera team against Atalanta. Two hottest teams in Italy in a prime matchup just got watered down completely.
Feel like I haven’t heard about him in forever after his 6 month ban but yeah back at Leverkusen he earned a rep for being in the conversation for best FK taker in the world
From what I’ve seen, he’s become a different player once Zlatan returned. I remember some ridiculous goals at Hamburg, too.
He largely sucked and not lived up to the hype. But since the restart he’s gained confidence and he’s been one of our best players. Ibra on the pitch is allowing him more space to roam and attack so far it’s working great. Ibra has turned this team around on so many levels
With how well Rom is doing, I just wanted to remind he’s still a flat track bully. 2G 2A in 5 UCL matches (1G and both assists came against Slavia Prague) 3G 1A in 9 against the Serie A top 6 (2G came against 6th place Milan and another game against 5th place Roma so 1A in 5 vs top 4).
Lazio up big. Last couple matches in that race for positioning to avoid UCL playoff rounds should be interesting. Inter (+41 GD) at 76 Atalanta (+51) and Lazio (+36) at 75. Inter host Napoli Tuesday while Atalanta are at Parma. Lazio host Brescia. Final day sees Atalanta hosting Inter and Lazio away to Napoli.
They will have playoffs for the Europa. Think they will do away with the home and home turn it into a single elimination game.
