He was the only Senate Republican to vote for Trump’s impeachment. He doesn’t have the power within the Senate to do much about it tbh. As it is, he’s risking a lot of federal funding to Utah just by speaking out. And we’re ok with that.
Well, you’re in luck because even when she loses she’s not going to go away, someone like CNN will hire her and give her a platform to express how concerned she is with the current state of the country.
I have seen people saying it may be out of that unit because of the high profile and complex nature of the case. No clue if that's the case here, just that it wouldn't be unprecedented or anything.
It’s always fascinating to see stories like this and learn about all these people who are huge in our current politics who were fucking when they were Reagan or Bush 1 staffers.
The Lincoln Project guys are heavy on ties to McCain. Conway is an odd one to me, because his wife is (or maybe soon to be was) Kellyanne Conway. He is a prominent Federalist Society guy, and he left an equity role at Wachtell Lipton to become of counsel and dabble in politics full time. Wachtell Lipton has been the top or top three in profits for equity parted among US law firms for at least the last 30 years.
Lol, a bunch of people buying shit they have no idea how to cook. MFers that think salt adds too much flavor gonna try Cuban and Mexican food?
We need to bail out PEOPLE this time. Not businesses. Especially since we have no idea if they used the money for payroll. The money is supposedly required to be paid back if it isn’t used for payroll but what’s stopping a business from paying out the owner and then closing? I’m willing to get no loans are personally guaranteed. Many of these companies haven’t actually kept people on either. I understand why we went the PPP route but we should do the UK model if we want to do something similar. Have to stop trusting business owners will always do the right thing.
Really looking forward to the eventual articles about the resilience of American democracy after hundreds of thousands of people perish and we allow a president and his co-conspirators to commit felonies in broad daylight for multiple years in a row.
I can most assure you that, in my industry at least, that approximately zero dollars went to payroll for companies that got PPP money. And some of them got millions (plural) from the govt
The number of things to be completely embarrassed of In this country grows daily. The whole Stone thing was expected, but somehow I thought the law may actually hold him to account. The Republican Party hits one milestone after another in forsaking whatever fairytale people should believe is great about America.
Take: The Senate has been exposed during the last four years for what it really is moreso than any other area of our government. Some of the other parts of government have actually held up okay!
I think some major figures are going to have to get into it with Trump on places like Twitter in order to turn public opinion and guarantee a win in November. Basically run him and his mob out of DC. Someone like Romney who would state that Trump is a traitor to his nation and brawl in the public arena. Civility and comity be damned. Would prob have to include others like W/Obama/etc. Not likely.
Such a weak attempt at a half assed condemnation. Republicans embarrassing themselves more and more daily.
It was Comey/Rosenstein/Mueller/Sessions' fault that he had to save Stone from prison. Running out of needles/ppe/tests and he's out on the course. Cool.
Dems dropped the ball on him bigly in 2016, time is up in 2022 for him even if its a R favorable midterm. Toomey is a bitch.
Wasn't romney recently a deciding vote in allowing a bullshit biden/china investigation, while the country is being ravaged by a pandemic? He can get fucked.
