Can't, won't, and don't want to debate that, because you're 100% right. My only point was that while Cuonmo does suck, he's done a far better job than Abbott handling this.
A post on twitter saying "1.3 million dying in car accidents every year and no one cares" made me go fact check. Here's a list of random deaths I googled for ONLY the USA: Car Accidents: 38,000 Heart Disease: 650,000 Suicide: 48,000 Alcohol Poisoning: 2,500 Drowning: 3,500 Not sure what anyone would do with this, but I was looking it up and wanted to keep track...so here's my notes.
Social media is the purest form of brain poison. It's somehow lightyears ahead of anything on tv including Fox News
If someone brings that car accident shit up while also being the same person (likely) complaining about masks... I guess just ask if they will stop buckling their seatbelts and start running red lights in addition to being a mask truther.
Shit numbers aside, "no one cares" is also inaccurate considering there are traffic laws, law enforcement, mandated safety equipment, regulatory bodies to enforce automobile manufacters' crash standards, regulations on medical qualifications for drivers license both commercial and private, safety advocate groups, public awareness campaigns, etc
WaPo with an update about KFC shutting down dine-in seating in their FL locations FL is still allowing people to eat inside restaurants??
Testing woes continue https://www.washingtonpost.com/heal...2f7fa8-c1fe-11ea-b4f6-cb39cd8940fb_story.html "“It’s not shortages of any one thing. It’s now spot shortages of all of them,” said Scott Becker, chief executive of the Association of Public Health Laboratories. “Clinical labs need more swabs, chemical reagents, viral transport media, test kits, machines to process the tests, staffing to run the machines.”"
Abbott is most likely going to be the first governor with multiple cities with trucks filled with dead bodies. https://www.khou.com/mobile/article...aths/273-23a09205-bd27-4c08-a7ac-4803a6951a6f
It’s also Texans. Dumb Texans are a special type of stupid person because they’re so arrogant about it. They take pride in being ignorant.
Reminds me of something that a student told my stepdad once while he was teaching: “Based on the principles of physics, I’m less likely to get into a car accident going through an intersection as fast as I can.” That’s how stupid the logic is.
Had a conversation with someone earlier and their whole take was that if our hospitals can handle it we should just let it run it's course. Example he liked to use is that New York didn't get completely over taken. Obviously that's not even true but I think the bigger missed part was that was with one city as an epicenter. How the fuck are we going to handle multiple cities at the same time? Also, what the fuck do the hospitals look like if we keep down this course and then get into the actual flu season??
Also letting it run its course has a lot of people dying who otherwise wouldn't if we locked down well enough until the vaccine is ready
Not sure why people are sleeping on the fact that death isn't the only negative of covid, and the extent of the damage is completely unknown
But only 20% of those are covid related (I have no idea). You know, because you can just let all those other people go home that are in the ICU and it's not covid related. I've gotten to the point where I don't even care to argue with these people anymore, they're not changing their opinion and it's just exhausting. Unfortunately for me I have to encounter a fair amount of people like this on a regular basis.
Because the media carries water for the Right allowing them to push that narrative. People need to remember that the MSM benefits greatly from the Trump presidency and all this chaos. Hell, he said it himself "If Biden gets elected your ratings will fall" and he's exactly right. Last thing the media wants is for any of this to stop
Kids have to line up 6 feet apart. Lmao at having 21 Kindergarteners abide by any of this shit. Then lmao harder when you’ve got 5-6 classrooms of 21 kindergarteners. Everyone in schools is fucked. Good work, Cooper.
Got exposed to someone who was positive about 3 weeks ago now. Found out 11 days after exposure. Got a rapid test on day 12 which came back positive. My wife was exposed to the same person and her rapid test came back negative. 5 days later after my positive test i got retested and me and my wife both were negative that time. I have no idea what to believe any more. Now trying to get a third test and antibody test to see if i actually had it and or still have it.
They do not. They have no idea what they're doing. Luckily, my wife is taking the year off from teaching but her former kids parents have been blowing her up the last 48 hours. They are all terrified and upset. Also, I think 5 teachers recently(since the weekend) told my wife they are not coming back to teach. That's just 5 of the teachers she's close with. I'd like to know how many more have quit.
no i was saying that my county literally has zero icu beds even if there was no such thing as covid19
there’s 100% going to be a mass exodus in the field. there has been for years but it’s about to get bad. this wildly varies by district but I don’t think people understand how difficult it is to procure substitutes either. even in normal times
