Wasn’t sure I could call it that if it’s not purposed for spitting tobacco juice and has the cigar holders on the side
The black loafer was the Breeze Lace, those are comfortable. The grey pair was the stride lace and they tore my feet up, something rubbed on the outside toe. The shoes are motion cap toe and they are pretty comfortable.
Going to have to find a better way to spend my Saturdays this fall after foootball is inevitably cancelled.
Ah. I won’t be getting one of those anytime ever. But funny you mention it, the first day I was out on my boat a buddy of mine that I hadn’t seen out on the river in years pulled up to the sandbar on his airboat. And if you haven't been around one of those boats in person they are loud as fuck. You have to wear ear protection when riding around in them. I heard them coming down the river ten minutes before they arrived.
Yes. It matched what I had customized on Apple's website, was $50 cheaper, delivered within a day (Apple website said next week at the earliest), and I have an Amazon Rewards credit card so I just got a shit load of Amazon Points.
I use a ski gator because it's much easier to have down around your neck and then pop over your nose/mouth when needed, rather than have a mask dangling from your ears.
Thanks. I opened like 50 Photoshop files at once for the hell of it to see how this machine performs and it passed with flying colors. Just incredible.
These are fantastic. https://www.originalpenguin.com/pro...sk-brown-ogasb0e8-901?nosto=frontpage-nosto-1
Work provided us with a bunch and they are convenient to carry around/ put on and off, but they are miserably hot when it's already miserably hot. I still prefer them though.
Anyone ever order sheets off of Amazon? I'm going to order some and put them on bed to spite my wife. Don't care for the ones she bought from pottery barn.
I posted this in the random thoughts thread but I believe this is a better place for it (thanks for the guidance Lipp the Gay Liberal) : Any suggestions on a solid portable monitor to use with a Lenovo T470 (work computer)? Two extras: I would prefer not to pay a ton and my personal computer is a Macbook Air so I would like to be able to use it with that as well. I have done some research online but they use a fair amount of terminology that I am not clear on and different websites suggest different ones (though most all of them have the Asus one that is around $350). I have also searched the term monitor itt and most every hit is about a desktop monitor, not a portable one. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
It’s certainly not perfect but I’ve found this to be the most comfortable one I’ve tried in that I can adjust the straps and it isn’t too hot compared to A full N95. It’s washable and has a metal nose bridge to reduce fogging but doesn’t eliminate. https://www.outdoorresearch.com/us/essential-face-mask-kit-283298 Other than that the Buffs style neck gaiter is ok. I keep one folder up in my back pocket in case a strap fails or something. I already had a few for working outdoors because my ears and nose are bad to sunburn these days. I’ve never found an antifog spray or wipe that lasted an appreciable amount of time, sadly. The suggestion of dropping them down like Ben Franklin is what I do to get them to clear up for a few minutes. All I can say is welcome to plant/lab life. I’ve been wearing goggles or glasses with a respirator or flame retardant neck gaiter on and off for almost 20 years.
this is a developing product category, but I don't know off the top of my head if any o the big boys (dell, samsung, lg, viewsonic, benq, etc.) will make one. One from them will more reliable and have better support warranty than the other end of the spectrum, a Kickstarter produced one. If you post one you are considering I can take a look, again I wish I knew of some to recommend, but I only have non-portable ones.
and if you paste the link or terminology they are using, someone on here can explain in laymans. to boot - there is basically 2 main connection types between computers and monitors, so it likely won't be complex from a connections/cables perspective between your two different machines (PC + Mac).
This is the one I am leaning towards at the moment. It shows gaming capabilities but I would mainly just use it for work.
What mac do you have, or better yet, what ports does your macbook have? Tentatively, looks like you have a winner with those kind of reviews - as long as you're open to buying a new cable or two.
Lenovo T470, which would be the main computer I would use it with- 3 x USB 3.1** Gen 1 (USB 3.0, one Always On) 1 x Thunderbolt™ 3 port (USB Type-C) 1 x HDMI™ 1 x RJ45 Gigabit LAN 1x CS13 Docking 1 x Media Card Reader (SD 3.0, UHS-I) 1x Micro SIM 13-inch MacBook Air (early 2015) 2 x USB 3 1 x Thunderbolt 2 1 x SDXC card slot What other cables would I need? I was thinking a cable to connect to my laptop and maybe a cable for power, if necessary, though I assumed both of those would come with the monitor.
CoastalOrange Interesting, on the page the "ingredients" says only monitor, but multiple reviews say it came with: "two cables, a type-C to type-C and a HDMI cable. The HDMI cable has a full size connector on one end and the end that connects to the monitor is a mini type." That means the hdmi cable included in the box (full size on one end, mini hdmi on the other) will work for your specific Lenovo. This would mean you only need cable* for your Macbook Air, which is limited in it's connection types based on that specific type of port ("Thunderbolt 2"). That type of port has been not only phased out/superseded, but was never widely adopted. *instead of buying a standalone cable, I would recommend buying an adapter which is simpler and less to carry. Also there are some standards/protocols that make recommending a cable iffy without testing the connection first. The adapter should work no problem. Here are two choices for an adapter. they are functionally the same. Mini DisplayPort to HDMI, Benfei Mini DP(Thunderbolt) to HDMI Converter Gold-Plated Cord Compatible for MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, Mac Mini, Microsoft Surface Pro 3/4, etc Rankie Mini DisplayPort (Mini DP) (Thunderbolt) to HDMI Adapter, Black
Can anyone recommend a good router/modem combo? Ordered one of the ones recommended in this thread from amazon and it was a brick. The xfinity guy said that happens a lot with buying them from amazon
