No fuck you y’all are the worst. For once the sidewalk fans work in our favor, we have an excuse for all the Trump fans. All your Trump fans attended Auburn and had 36’s on the ACT.
Blame yourselves Bama fans. There are way more bama fans in Alabama than there are Auburn fans. Y'all had a chance to show that your love for Alabama football was greater than your love for president Trump and you didn't do it. Hate to see it. Also, Tubs campaign manager is a huge Bama fan.
The person I have considered my biggest Bammer friend for about 20 years is a painfully loyal Trump fan and admitted yesterday he's voting for Tubs. I'm not surprised but to see his loyalty to Trump and the Republican party is greater than his loyalty to the Tide is disheartening. I feel his Bammerdom has taken a critical hit.
If he wasn't so gross about it all I could look past it (like I do with most of my childhood friends) but he's an unabashed Trump guy and can only manage to barely levy the tiniest criticisms of Trump even now. Nothing is Trump's fault. Everything is a whataboutism with him and he chooses to get his opinions from the Charlie Kirks and Ben Shapiros of the world. If that's who you want to be then I have no desire to keep you in my life. Just sad that it has eclipsed his Bama fandom that used to be 98% of his identity.
Barves2125 thats nearly everyone I grew up with. It legit wouldn’t be so bad if they could turn it off or not cover their cars in bumper stickers or fly trump flags on their boats. Trump is EVERYTHING to these mother fuckers and I just can’t comprehend it.
He doesn't know what the Voting Rights Act is. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/tomm...pj1osqD2O5Ln9Zn_hk4alLyV6mGf_Jx1nIQ_L6aXjk9YE His answer (which can be listened to in the clip above) verges on the incomprehensible and raises doubts about his understanding of the law that was key to ending the sweeping suppression of voting by Black people in the South: “You know, the thing about the Voting Rights Act it’s, you know ― there’s a lot of different things you can look at it as, you know, who’s it going to help? What direction do we need to go with it? I think it’s important that everything we do we keep secure. We keep an eye on it. It’s run by our government. And it’s run to the, to the point that we, it’s got structure to it. It’s like education. I mean, it’s got to have structure. Now for some reason, we look at things to change, to think we’re gonna make it better, but we better do a lot of work on it before we make a change.” Tuberville’s campaign did not immediately return a request for comment.
Too bad the people who will putt Tubbs in the Senate don't give a fuck if he understands one of the most important pieces of legislation in US history
I'm pretty sure regardless of what happens Tubbs flames and burns, even more so if Trump isn't there to tell him what to do
I would expect there is a competent Republican out there that would knock him out after his first term, maybe that's expecting too much
idk man. i know where you're coming from but you (and myself tbf) thought there was also no way he would beat sessions. he's obviously a moron but i'm not sure why that would suddenly matter to republican voters. there's clearly a trumpian effect here.
I am never ruling out a Todd Akin moment for him. But betting odds have to be on him going full blown corruption and a revamped DOJ taking him down.
He and the people he's surrounded himself with are so woefully incompetent that I'm sure there are or will be means to bounce him, and no one with any power or competence in this state wants him to be our senior senator. If I were to bet on it, I'd say he just doesn't run again in 6 years.
I think his arc is going to be more akin to Roy Moore's. If it were simply up to the voters, Moore would have been our governor. The party, which is pretty powerful despite recent L's, isn't going to be behind him.
yea the idea of him replacing shelby as senior has gotta absolutely terrify anyone in a position of power in the state--and especially anyone who benefits from shelby's appropriations. that part i fully believe. but i wonder if tubs cares enough to dig his heels in and go full trump (or moore, as you just pointed out) where he tries to pit "his base" (which is really just trump's, so who knows what that will look like in the future) against the party structure.
