My buddy makes these. He's gonna do more Nintendo / Super Smash glasses. If people want them just lmk and I'll make it happen
Hey, guys. I’m super ducked up on VTA ’s stupid beer and Marlboro lights. I’m pretty sure I ate 30 Wendy’s nuggets. thanks. Thanks, thanka
The early days of this thread was full of Two Hearted and arguments about if Mojo or Sweetwater IPA was better. KBS and Hopslam was an event.
I'll take this opportunity to say that Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich is incredible and way ahead of it's time. Probably the best one in terms of reliability, value, and heat.
The chicken itself has gone down in quality recently. However now they have extra shit like jalapeños on top, so I'm OK with that development.
Great Sunday so far. 2x Galactic Glow and just opened the Nectarine Submarine. CASA stay co-king with Creature in this house.
Unfortunately not. I’d love to get my hands on some of there glassware too. Maybe the best I’ve seen. Up there with Burial in that regard.
People that are interested in the Nintendo glass please like this post. I'll make a DM to share the proof from my buddy and from there I can coordinate shipping if/when he makes them. #LikeHack
LR brewery recently did a full rebrand from Rebel Kettle to East Sixth Brewing. Not sure if brewers changed or anything. But the beer is still good. Sugar Charlatan - strawberry, peach, cherry, marshmallow kettle sour.
Is letting hoppy beers sit a couple weeks a thing? Had an IPA today that was canned on 6.30 and its dynamite; had one from the same four-pack the weekend of the 4th and thought it was forgettable. Might be my perception, but feels like it's much tastier after two weeks of sitting.
I definitely tend to find most NE/DDH styles are best 2-6 weeks after canning. Not all, but there's definitely a lot of places that can them early, I guess expecting them to take some time to get into distro and such. That said, sometimes I like those really green/grassy "hop burn" freshies. But I'm also weird an not afraid to go a few months old on hoppies sometimes.
A 2-4 weeks is the sweet spot, IMO. I’d still rather drink it immediately rather than months later though.
Casa makes a good beer but damn, this board is really in love with their beer. Very interesting. A few of the Casa beers that have been posted ITT lately are hitting AZ next week. Gonna have to scoop them up now.
Picked up a 16 oz crowler can of this for $15. 500 ml bottles were going for $30. Bottle Logic Distant Messenger (2020) Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Golden Stout inspired by Hawaiian Coffee Cake! Brewed with lactose for a silky-soft texture, then aged in bourbon barrels and finished with 300lbs of marshmallows for a pop of sweetness, fresh coconut, zingy pineapple, and El Salvador Angel Mountain coffee beans roasted by our friends at Bodhi Leaf!
Kings just sold a bunch of BL left over bottles they had. I snagged a few of them as they went on sale Tuesday. Voltaic Stacks, Intrepid Orchird, & Concentrated Solution. I talked to the manager there a few weeks ago. He said that Kings is the largest seller of Bottle Logic (other than that actual brewery) including all stores in California. Pretty crazy.
I thought about grabbing a Voltaic Stack but $30 for 500 ml is a fuck ton although I'm sure it's worth it. So I was pretty happy to part with $15 for slightly less Distant Messenger. I'm not surprised at that. They've had some collabs that they've done with them on tap bar side in the past.
Huge box of beer from 09knight of Motorworks fame. You guys can figure it out, just message him or VTA (Casa Agria) if you really want some of their beer and maybe they can connect you with someone to help out. All you’ve gotta do is ask. Shouting into the void ain’t gonna get it done, don’t mean to be rude.
