Great list. Can’t argue with Hallowed as number 1. I really like Running Silent Running Deep but that seems fairly under the radar for most.
Fear of the Dark live is my favorite. However if we’re talking original recordings, I’d go with Hallowed.
Aces High followed by Two Minutes to Midnight is the greatest opening two songs of an album ever. They threw newer songs in but...Can I Play With Madness?
Transylvania is a dope track. I love that they were gonna put lyrics down, but they decided it sounded way better as an instrumental. I saw Maiden live 10 years ago in San Bernardino. At one point during the show Bruce gave a little speech about Dio, he had died very recently. At the end of his speech, he said "so I want to dedicate this next song to the man that taught me everything I fucking know. RONNIE JAMES DIO!" Then they went into "Paschendale" or "El Dorado", I forget which one. The crazy thing was that halfway through the song, this giant fucking owl showed up above the pit and started circling over everyone. Everybody in the crowd started losing their shit, pointing and shouting "IT'S DIO, HE'S HERE!" Such a great show.
Not a fan if the music, but certainly awesome at what they do, etc. love that they fly their own massive plane too. Much respect to them
