If it is a ACC and SEC +1 ND will lose the Clemson game

state politics will dictate they keep South Carolina over ND as their +1

we’d also lose GT and Louisville

    Some combo of:

    @ Navy
    Arkansas
    @ Wake
    @ Pitt
    Duke

    plus

    lose Clemson, Louisville, GT

add Miami, BC, Syracuse, Bama, and a Virginia school

think that’s likely the 10 ND gets, might also see at BYU during championship weekend since we owe the Mormons a game

I’d prefer another SEC school to the Virginia’s but that seems unlikely, would love Tennessee

Brother we both we're here, I made my contempt with the schedule and how the season ended noted

2020 is setting up to be worse, in all likelyhood Clemson, USC, Stanford, GT, Wisconsin, and UL games get traded out for some collection of VaTech, Syracuse, BYU, UConn, and Miami

ND gonna be 10-0 and ranked #11 at the end of the season

I'm assuming the ACC is gonna go league plus 1 game. This helps fix the ND problem, however for Clemson that means playing South Carolina which I believe is state law. So ND gets other ACC teams instead that do not have the SEC interstate crossover so no FSU, GT, UL, Clemson

Wouldn’t ND be one of those acc games? I will be surprised if the season happens and nd and Clemson don’t play

ND isn't part of the ACC, so if Clemson is playing a normal 9 game league schedule plus USCjr then ND is out. Since ND can't count for the standings

However there are 9 other ACC teams for ND to play in the +1 scenario: BC, Syracuse, UNC, VaTech, Pitt, UVA, Wake, Duke, Miami (that will be ND's schedule). UL (Kentucky), Clemson (USCjr) , FSU (UF), and GT (UGA) are out

    The season won’t happen.

But if it does the ACC will consider ND as an ACC member for football purposes for this rule.

This is all moot bc the fall season isn’t happening and then all bets are off, but they’re not going to cancel the premier game of the “conference” schedule. If all they have are tv ratings, they’re not missing out on that game. Like you said, money talks

How? The +1 scenario that the AD's of the SEC and ACC have been talking about in the media makes the most sense for ND. No way the ACC is making ND a member of the conference for a year, so either they go to +1 route, or the ACC plays 10 conference games but only counts 9 of them to leave a hole for playing ND in the standings.

I guess we will see whether ND is relevant. I just don’t see how they don’t negotiate to include ND.

sounds like we're going to land Chance Tucker from CA as the 3rd CB for Mickens - incredibly impressive what Mickens is doing

this is from Biggins and he's almost never wrong when it comes to west coast prospects

Encino (Calif.) Crespi defensive back Chance Tucker should be making his decision in the next week or so and it sounds like he could be leaving home to play his college ball.

Tucker took recent visits to Notre Dame and Washington and is essentially down to those schools. In talking with a few different sources over the weekend, it sounds like Notre Dame has moved ahead and I went ahead and put in a Crystal Ball forecast for the Irish.

Tucker really loved his visit to South Bend and talked up the schools strong combination of football and academics. More then a football decision, Tucker said his decision would be based more on academics, life after football and alumni support and we know the Irish checked off all those boxes for him.

Tucker has a strong connection with coach Mickens and coach Lea and said he has a very good comfort level with both. Mickens has especially done a great job with Tucker and we know his family really likes Notre Dame as an option for him as well.

On Sunday night, Washington offered another corner, Arnez Madison. I’m not saying that’s a sign the Huskies see the writing on the wall that Tucker could be slipping away, but when added to a few other things we’re hearing, it’s tough to ignore as well.

As for a commitment date, we haven’t heard anything concrete yet but do think it will be sometime this coming week. Tucker is currently a high end three-star corner with an 87 Rating. He has good length at 6-1, clocked a 10.9-100m early this track season and has a very nice upside to him. He's someone we think could have really blown up with a spring evaluation period and his game is definitely trending in the right direction.

again, please throw ratings out of the window this cycle, they are going to be very off - this kid is a no doubt 4* CB with length and speed. That 10.9 he ran was the first time he'd ever ran track in March and then he didn't get to run again. This kid could be a legit 10.7 type of guy at over 6'

    Loy follows suit as well

A new prediction is in for Notre Dame regarding a top target from the class of 2021. As always, Irish Illustrated brings you the latest on a prospect expected to land in South Bend with the Fighting Irish.

I went ahead and followed the lead of 247Sports National Analyst Greg Biggins today and put in my own prediction for Encino (Calif.) Crespi three-star cornerback Chance Tucker to land at Notre Dame.

The 6-1, 170-pounder is currently considering a list of five finalists including Notre Dame, Washington, Colorado, Washington State and Oregon. However, based on our recently-reported intel last week, the Fighting Irish and Huskies were the two to beat down the stretch. He visited South Bend over July 4 weekend and then was in Seattle a few days later. Tucker clearly enjoyed both trips a great deal and sources from both sides were cautiously optimistic that he would end up at each of their respective schools. That said, there was a strong feeling that while Tucker was torn between both schools, his parents were more in favor of him picking Notre Dame.

In checking with sources on Monday, there is much more optimism from those connected to Notre Dame than those close to the Washington program. In fact, one source connected to Notre Dame said that he’d be “shocked” if Tucker chose to play for anyone other than the Irish. A source on the west coast added, “Notre Dame did a great job late and should be considered the favorite.”

    7COMMENTS
In the end, I believe the trio including Notre Dame cornerbacks coach Mike Mickens, defensive coordinator Clark Lea and special teams coordinator and recruiting coordinator Brian Polian is what could be the difference-maker. The trio laid out the academic and athletic opportunities and I think the big picture of Notre Dame is what could be the tipping point for the Irish.

Regarding a final decision, look for one to come this week, potentially on Wednesday. Tucker is in decision mode and spent all week attempting to finalize his selection, as well as his commitment plans.

Eh, wouldn't he be competing for the starting job in fall 2021 with this as his track record then?

    2020: Sat out to train
2019: Full season as a junior
    2018: Missed due to injury
2017: Did he even start as a freshman?

Playing in ~12-15 live games since being a high school freshman and most/all being against bad competition would not inspire a lot of confidence. He needs live game reps this fall. Hell, play 4-6 games with Helix before starting in mid-January at ND if football starts the first week of December - anything really.

    2 ND Players on Feldman's freak's list

    9. Kyle Hamilton, Notre Dame, safety
    Freakiest attribute: Vertical leap

The rangy DB from Atlanta had a splashy debut for the Irish, picking off four passes. Notre Dame is really, really excited about his potential, and the 6-4 Hamilton is up 20 pounds since last year to 221. His top-end GPS speed was almost 21 miles per hour, but it’s his vertical — 42.3 inches — that earned him a spot this high on our list. Hamilton’s explosiveness and athleticism with that kind of height and length is rare.

    37. Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, Notre Dame, linebacker
    Freakiest attribute: Explosiveness

He’s coming off a breakthrough season where he led the team with 80 tackles and 13.5 TFLs to go with 5.5 sacks. He arrived in South Bend weighing 198 but is now a rock-solid 220 at 6-1½. His explosiveness is reflected by his 39-inch vertical, a 10-3 broad jump and an equally impressive 20.4 mph on his GPS. Owusu-Koramoah also notched 42 pull-ups in off-season training and back squatted 555 pounds.

it really feels like that's where we're headed, but we'll get there with people kicking and screaming. nfl can move draft back to June, we can play 6-8 games in late winter, early spring and be done by May. assuming we continue to make progress with vaccines and other treatments, we could be in much better shape by then.
