Hope it's not too late to add-in a holiday setting. We haven't had any MCU movies set during the holidays. Nope. Not a one.
Dad thread post that applies here: First I got my 7 yr old daughter in to Star Wars via Clone Wars and Rebels. Now she's getting in to Marvel via 90s Spider-Man (GOAT) and Ultimate Spider-Man. I feel like I'm pretty much crushing this parenting thing.
my three year old loves “the wed guy” (spider-man). she really likes the shorts they have that are geared more to the younger kids.
My 3 and 5 year olds watch the shorts a couple times a week and love them. We’re down to them watching Into The Spider-Verse about twice a week now (from every day). Even with the decreased viewing, our 3 year old still drops the “you gotta go home, man” line on us or his brothers daily when we’re annoying him.
My 6.5 girl loves superheroes and I’m trying to figure out when will be a good time to introduce her to the marvel movies. She’s watching DC superhero girls and some animated marvel stuff. I’m just not sure if I should hold her back a little longer from the movies bc of some of the language or not. When did everyone start introducing their kids to the bigger kid/adult stuff?
About that age for my oldest. I think he was 6 when he started watching the live action Marvel movies.
Yeah my daughter couldn't sit through a full live action movie until 6. Now any time an MCU movie is on, she's usually glued in. She asks a million questions, so we had to put a rule in that she could only ask questions during commercials or when I pause it after a key moment (depending on if we're watching on TV or D+)
My son is almost 7. He has seen all the mcu movies. Tbh he has picked up a couple of words but a quick conversation and that problem was done.
My 10 year old has seen most of them. my 4 year old likes parts and thinks the “I’m Mary Poppins y’all” and baby groot dancing are the peak of cinema achievement. I’ll be sad when she doesn’t. until then we watch
My youngest starting watching mcu movies around 7 too (older brother was 10). My wife was nervous about the language, but we did the same as far as talking about how some language used in movies isn’t appropriate for them. Never had an issue.
Pretty sure my 7 yo's favorite was Ragnarok for so long because Thor says SOB within the first 5 minutes. He's never repeated it...just thinks it's cool when people cuss.
Fair. And F4 might be more in line as the first group introduced before mutants. THEN end credits is Prof X entering the room
I'm more excited to see F4 done right than I am X-Men. If we didn't get X-Men for another ten years I would only be mildly annoyed, but I want F4 as soon as Feige can give it to me.
Yea. X Men need to disappear for a while. we can easily forget the last F4 and Feige will definitely do them right
Who would you cast for Reed Richards? Krasinksi has openly campaigned for it, but who would TMB collective like to see? I think Ewan McGregor could pull it off.
Meatball and his buddy have been playing the shit out of Spider Man on his buddy's PS4. Subsequently he has watched Far From Home at least 8 in the last 3 days
Namor's story has never been on my radar for viewing/reading...but my kid's 5 minute Marvel bedtime story brought me back to us discussing the underwater earthquake from EG that we all think will be his entry point. I think the "earthquake" caused by ripples from Thanos using the stones crushes Atlantis, he blames the closest land dwellers(Wakanda), and enters as an enemy to begin with.
Had the Spider Man game for the PS2. It was the funnest non-sports game I ever played on that console
Thinking about its portrayal in the movie, and that makes sense. Still think they're the ones on the hook for whoever he ultimately attacks - otherwise Okoye wouldn't have been the person they had Nat go to with the question in EG.
Absolutely wait. The common belief now is that the miles morales release for the game on PS5 will include the ps4 version with Peter Parker
And now I have her obsessed over 90s X-MEN. Dad of the year right here. I forgot how woke af this show was.
This one time he transformed himself into a snake, and he knows how much I like snakes, so I went to pick the snake up to admire it and then he transformed back and was like BLEHH IT'S ME and then he stabbed me
