4th is really tough. Sherdog scores are 10-9 Till, 10-9 Whittaker, and 10-10. Till did more damage, I thought.
ugh I dunno. Do the judges like blood? Do they like those take downs at the end? My gut says Whittaker, but I don't know
I'm guessing Chimaev's sparring sessions have been infinitely more difficult than his first two UFC fights.
What is the correct way to score a take down that does no damage and the opponent pops right back up? Not that it would have changed the outcome, but if I recall, in one round Whittaker took Till down like 4 times in a row and Till got up the second he hit the canvas. Do you award Whittaker points for the takedown? Give Till an equal amount of points for getting up? Does one get more points than the other? Does it contribute to some measure of ring control that one guy is able to take the other down repeatedly? Or is the fighter getting up exhibiting more ring control by denying his opponent the advantage? I think there are various ways that scenario is judged, and to me that seems like a problem. There should at least be consistency in how each judge scores a fight.
Wow for Ari to not take that as a chance to shit all over him and instead tried to be nice was weird. But Schaub's stand up is boo boo. I get it, he's only a few years into it(although I don't ever see him being stand up comedian funny). He needs to take the advice he gives to young fighters, take your time and grow into the job. Don't rush for a title fight, which is what he did with comedy due to his Showtime deal. I don't really listen to TFATK anymore either. I've tried but it is nonstop COVID and politics talk, neither of which should either be trying to speak intelligently about. I also like how they have been clowned on by the entire podcast/comedian community for thinking it was bullshit and then both being sick af for a month from COVID after doing shows in Texas. /rant
He’s just the dumbest guy on top of being unfunny ( he can be funny on podcasts but there’s a thousand guys who can do it better), I really want to meet someone who claims to be a fan of his because I have a lot of questions. He lucked out in the friend department with a couple of influential guys who were really nothing more than MMA fanboys to start out with. My favorite story is when Luis Gomez had an amateur MMA fight and Schaub commented that it was disrespectful to MMA for a bunch of amateurs to fight for whatever promotion it was. Gomez called him a hypocrite for doing the same thing but with comedy and then Rogan asked Gomez to apologize.
I guess I'm a fan or was a fan? I was listening for the guests and just nonsensical laughs. He is really dumb. He can barely speak coherent English and his job is speaking. He doesn't really even try to be better and while I'm no saint, the repeated use of "God damn" incorporated into every sentence whether it makes sense or not is another issue. It's basically like a 15-year old was given a microphone and an audience. Put two of those 15-year olds together and you have TFATK aka the Dick podcast. The memes of Rogan/Schaub are awesome. Brendan: COVID is a hoax and nothing to worry about. Rogan: COVID is real and killing people. Brendan: COVID is FOR SURE real and killing people.
