If the world ever returns to normal and I’m able to visit Nashville and go out and about, that is the one new place I’d be willing to visit
there will be a lot of newly made alcoholics to emerge from this pandemic. Bar scene should be hoppin.
TWRA is considering limiting or restricting the amount of people an outfitter can release on the water per day (re:kayaking) Caney and Harpeth are the two rivers that keep getting mentioned. I haven’t seen one person mention a positive thing about Canoe the Caney
Welp... nice knowing you fellas. Mrs Titties is an elementary teacher in Sumner and my kids go to her school. Sumner County Schools just voted to go back full force under pressure from the community. They were going to adopt a hybrid schedule but I guess we don’t value life here unless you’re an unborn fetus. Fuck this gay earth.
They’re asking all the teachers to sign a “Covid document” I’m not sure what it is yet but I’m sure it’s some form of release of liability. I told her to not sign it. she’s really freaked out right now as am I. Not just for her but also our kids. The school is providing masks and face shields for all the teachers and my wife just scoffed... “I’m not a nurse or doctor and have never been trained how to even use this shit. It’s such a fucking joke”
Ya, I would read everything very thoroughly before signing anything. And I’d likely redline it. I’m sure there is some garbage in there. Tough
I read Sumner County held virtual discussions to determine the path forward for the fall semester fuck the GOP
she isn’t going to sign it. Teachers are organizing a strike now. There is a HS football player in her cluster that just tested positive today and they’re still saying they’re all going back.
I feel like there's absolutely going to be a completely justified teacher/educator strike. It's pretty unbelievable people can't see the forest for the trees over and over and over with this pandemic. Like you don't even have to be a smart person to solve the pandemic but just watch one other smart person (or country in this example) and follow exactly what they did. It's MINDBLOWING to be that we can't even achieve that. Or get remotely close.
planning on leaving town tomorrow morning so picking up Sportsman's for lunch and gonna pick up HoneyFire one last time for dinner not gonna miss this heat
well snap HoneyFire is temporarily closed because a part-time employee tested positive. Props to them for a) being open about it and b) actually taking steps to close and give employees a chance to quarantine if need be so I guess I need to figure something else out for dinner tonight https://www.wkrn.com/community/heal...e-bbq-restaurant-tests-positive-for-covid-19/ enjoyed the rain/thunder we've gotten the past 18 hours
Go to Hifi cookies at 11 when they open up and get the honky tonk queen cookie imo they opened their new store earlier this month and still sellout after like an hour of opening
Best golf course in the Spring Hill area to join as a member? Looking to walk 18 a few mornings a week
totally under control. We should cancel the RNC because it’s unsafe to gather in large numbers but we need to reopen schools. Fuck. The. GOP.
Is making a tweet announcing bars and pedal taverns to be shut down aggressive action? Or the 10PM curfew and mask mandate that’s also being strictly enforced? Shut down Broadway and short term rentals for 4 weeks and let’s see what happens next. I’m getting better at this main board thing.
Not surprised they are trying to hide shit. And our toothless ass city and state leadership ain't gonna do a damn thing.
Bill Lee is a fuckwad piece of shit: https://www.tennessean.com/story/ne...s-plan-help-schools-reopen-safely/5527415002/
I genuinely hate him and his enablers. They don't give a fuck because they aren't jeopardizing themselves or their families.
A lot of kids rely on those meals and every other country is going back. But look at the way our country responded compared to say Denmark. Or the NBA and NHL even. Kids should be in school. And they would be had we responded to this like adults instead of children back in January, February, and March
Gonna go early vote today....decided to vote for Keeda Haynes over Cooper. I don't dislike Cooper but Keeda is more progressive (GND, $15 minimum wage) and Cooper has been in the position for 20 years. He's old af and we need a new face. Those are both good enough reasons for me to switch.
Belle Meade cause I was in the area. Zero line at 11am. Felt like I was walking into the movie Contagion with all the PPE and face shields but otherwise it was super smooth.
I'm never gonna get the yard cut it seems. Pouring rain every day here. It's gonna be a damn jungle by the time I can finally get to it.
It wouldn't be so unkempt if the damn moles would go away! I think we finally have blocked the skunks from digging under the fence at least.
Whatever shitty mix of grass and weeds the rental company planted. It's not a "pretty" yard and I'm not dumping money into it for them. I keep it cut and shit but thats about it.
