Its a bit warm for my taste, but the foodies rave about it so I am sure I will adjust.... Apparently its loaded with protein so I can't wait to see some serious gains...
I wouldnt post this because it's just a veggies / noodle stir fry. But - I played around and made a spicy sweet potato peanut sauce that turned out pretty well.
fuck that, veggie/noodle stuff is like go-to when I'm either consciously doing meatless or just out of other protein options at the time did (spiralized) Japanese sweet potato with a bunch of other veg last night, in fact
I always get these at Costco. Cant tell from the package, but it's just blocks of noodles. It's an easy / quick meal to make a ramen soup or use them in stir fry
Anyone have a good spicy/buffalo wing sauce recipe? Also have a can of chipotle peppers so open to that as well I usually just go with franks red hot, minced garlic, butter, and cayenne but I’m wanting to switch it up tonight for national wing day
I know some people followed the bon appetit fallout. Babish had Sohla on as a guest this week in her return to YouTube, and it was great.
Fun fact: if you have to lightly fry fennel seeds and chili flakes, and you let them burn, they turn into mustard gas.
Very good. I wasn’t sure how my young kids would react but my 2 year old tried drinking from her bowl to get every drop. The best comparison I could give is green tea ice cream where you get an herbal character with the sweetness.
This might be something everyone does but since Covid hit, I’m trying to be less wasteful. Been saving vegetable scraps, onion/garlic skins, sweet potato ends, celery greens ect and freezing them. Finally got enough to make a vegetable stock. We’ll see how this goes.
I used to go to the store mutliple times a week and pick up stuff I might cook and always ended up throwing out a lot of stuff, particularly produce, at the end of the week. I now plan out all the meals for the week, go to the store once, and have basically zero waste at the end. I feel much better about it and will continue doing it this way after covid is gone.
I also started using imperfect foods to save a grocery store trip mid week and have really enjoyed it.
thanks for posting, I didn't know about the recall and just called my grocer to make sure their onions weren't from that supplier/included in the recall.
I've been not infrequently doing a salad with fish using this rough outline and it's actually been obscenely satisfying. It's based on one of my favorite meals from a stint in Ireland years back. Sautéed peas or green beans and bell pepper (a little garlic obv) Boiled, peeled, and quartered baby potatoes Fresh onion Mixed greens, usually an extra bit of radicchio Shaved (I literally use a peeler) carrot and zucchini Herbs (basil, dill, whatever it's gonna rock) Briny stuff (capers, olives, see above) A filet of whatever (its usually rockfish for me) can have fun with the seasoning. Feta cheese. Dressing wise, think balsamic vinaigrette. Should be a good balance of sweet, tangy, briny, and herby. Heat it up with fresh garlic and chili flake imo. Also douse it in citrus (duh)
priya and molly leaving BA video. wouldn’t be surprised if sohla leaves too. edit: sohla and rick are out too. fuck conde nast
The whole BA video production sounds like complete bullshit. Also good on Molly for resigning in solidarity. That’s probably not an easy thing to do.
BA used to my go to I bought a digital sub to cooks illustrated and haven’t looked back. It’s great. the app is great
