Trump and his cronies are definitely going to do everything they can to shut down the USPS. Doubt they can fully shut it down, but they will de-fund the hell out of it.
The USPS isn’t funded by the government. It’s a government entity that operates on its own revenue. It’s hamstrung because of government laws and arbitrary pension requirements that have been imposed. There has long been effort to privatize mail delivery. Attacks on USPS are nothing new

Exactly. If USPS was funded by tax dollars, our shipping rates would be lower and there would be less of a need for UPS and FedEx. It’s a scam and Americans fell for it. It’s similar to private healthcare systems funding reports to denigrate the VA. Government services aren’t perfect but they’re a necessary public good. We shouldn’t intentionally destroy them

As chair of the Freedom Caucus, he led the coup that deposed John Boehner as Speaker of the House even though they are both Ohio Republicans whose districts bordered each other. He’s going to primary Rob Portman and win the Senate race in Ohio in 2022, then use that as his platform in 2024. He has raised $9 million in 2020 for a congressional race that is basically uncontested. $5.7 of that is from individual donors in amounts less than $200. He is where the Trumpers go, Post-Trump.

This is probably accurate and would be terrifying if it happened in real time. Democrats likely need to spend millions to convince people voting by mail to send in their ballot 3-4 weeks early.
unfortunately we need to spend ad money (and spend time during debates) informing people on how to properly send their ballot in. Not funding the USPS is fucking ridiculous and this ploy is obvious.

It’s not drawn that way to protect Jordan. Its drawn that way to dilute the Democrat vote in Lorain County west of Cleveland. Jordan resides in the southern most part of the district, which is among the most Republican areas of the country. The district splits Lorain’s 300,000+ people, then throws them in with counties that literally have not gone blue since 1932.

these interviews really aren’t a good idea unless you have a really strong candidate. Neither candidate fits that bill at all. I understand the trump campaign is desperate but these interviews that continue to make him look worse are not the answer to their problems. I’m all for them though. do we know when that full interview comes out?
The NE part of the district in Lorain is old steeltown country. US Steel used to have a massive plant there, with every economic ripple of logistics/materials that goes with that. The southern part was farm country, until Honda moved its US car operations there in the 1980’s. It’s very similar to a lot of auto towns that sprung up in the South in the 80’s and 90’s, except these people have no blue dog Democrat history. They’ve been Republican since Lincoln.
