nah the beverage warehouse you told me about down the street from my place. I stopped by there after going to Costco on Wednesday. Grilled some burgers for my wife and kids and drank half the bottle.
What is everyone's thoughts on Larceny BP? I haven't seen it anywhere around KC, but Daniel Ocean ' s post made me curious about the BP
This was the first Larceny I’ve tried so can’t help you. This one was really good and will become my go to cheap bourbon. It’s a couple more than Wild Turkey 101 or the black label Jim but a lot better than both.
I like it, as I enjoy barrel proof wheaters. That said, it’s priced too close to ECBP. I believe they’re MSRP of $50 and $60 respectively, but I’ve seen the Larceny marked up as high as $90.
Don’t remember if I saw Shenks or Bombergers at one store. I don’t remember because he wanted $120 for it. And I burned that motherfucker to the ground.
Saw one today and the guy wanted $250. Also had an Eagle Rare 17 that was priced at a reasonable $1200
guy must be fairly active in the secondary groups because that’s pretty much dead on for both on secondary
My Michigan honey hole has dried up. Yesterday, he wanted $89 for Blanton’s and $79 for OWA and he acted like he was doing me a favor because they were not on the shelf. I passed. He also had one of those Barrel 14 year store picks for $89 so I got one of them and the rare breed rye for $59 because I had never seen it.
I had a guy do the same with Blanton's pulled it out of the back and said it was $99. Looked at him like he was crazy
Weller 12 for 39.99 finally here. He had an Elmer and an EHT barrel proof sitting around I’m trying to get.
theregionsitter AggieVillain Keef goblue31602 Just settling in today. Will connect with you guys on Monday and setup shipping etc.
Yeah LBP is $50 and EGBP is $60 in KC. Love ole Gregg but need to pick up a LBP to try as I do like wheaters
Have seen ECBP B520 in 3 places, one was $90, other 2 were for $70. Should I pull the trigger? Also saw an EC single barrel (94 proof) for $31.
For $70 I would absolutely pull the trigger. I think B520 is their best stuff in the past couple of years. I’m planning to get a couple back ups myself
EHT and ELT are spoken for, but he is working to source another store. Tracking the old fitz, and yes pperc trying to find your M20 still.
Agree with this. I thought B520 was absolutely fantastic. Have 2.5 and will probably stock up on more.
$70 yes bc it’s dried up here when it was $60. The regular bottle is $28-$32 here and it a great pour for that proof, price.
Same thing happened with my spot. Same prices also with the Blanton and OWA. Still shopping there since he provided a lot of good bottles in the past.
He also said he’s getting a store pick barrel of WFP in November, so I told him he better save me a bunch. Does anyone know what the WFP store picks are usually going for?
Found a new place for you to burn down today, BrickTamland . Shitty little store near my parents' house had a bottle of Blanton's on the shelf with no price tag. Asked how much it was, and they said $149.99.
Wife wanted some vodka and tequila so I volunteered to go to the store. I passed on the KC store pick last time since I’m not a huge KC fan, but figured I’d give it a try this trip. Only a 9 year but it is pretty good. EC rye was back in stock finally too.
It’s really good. I got it when it first dropped here then it disappeared, so I was glad they had it back today.
Any opinions on a smooth ambler old scout single barrel store pick? Can’t remember if it’s been talked about in here or not.
Supposed to be pretty good iirc. They seem to be pretty popular on secondary, I know there are some factors as to where the juice is sourced, but can't remember off the top of my head. pperc Baseballman86 or Leeroy Jenkins! could probably help
