Bobrovsky giving up 4 goals.....and who said things were going to change after the break? BOY HE SHOWED THEM!
On the bright side Bobrovsky has led the Panthers to playing on an ice surface with Stanley Cup logos
Random but not sure why they have the sponsors on the boards split half and half between the two teams instead of 100% of just the 'home' team. Just in terms of what those sponsors paid for as if the games were being played in an actual home arena. Since this series is actually based on points from a season (hence 'earned home ice') unlike MLS or whatever.
Playing the national anthem before games is dumb, playing the American and Canadian national anthem before a game in front of no fans is super dumb
he's been a god. Islanders are getting caved in terms of chances against and they are winning 1-0. Classic Trotz hockey.
I'm gonna need to see the Canes actually win a game against NY before I can predict them winning that series.
I saw someone say this, and I agree: the more talented teams have a big advantage in the play in round. Less time for guys to get on the same page, which hurts more structured teams like NYI and CBJ. I think Carolina is very, very talented.
We saw a ton of sloppy hockey during the exhibition round. Sloppy hockey benefits the more talented teams.
Not gonna lie it sucks that the team sport with the biggest racism problem in NA is doing the lock arms thing during the national anthems because they’re terrified of the response to kneeling
You won’t find many people that won’t stand for their national anthem and the national anthem of other countries.
oh please, fans have no problem taking a piss during the anthem but taking a knee in silent protest is too disrespectful. not the place for the debate but spare me the reverence.
Wait, are you saying people have to kneel for national anthems? What if we say people have to stand for national anthems? It’s the same thing. Use your brain.
I’m sorry, no need to litigate this in this thread. It’s just weird that we are telling people they should be kneeling for anthems when we just got done arguing for 2 yrs about whether we should be telling them to stand. Makes no sense
In case you were wondering chicago/Boston were the good guys all of those years feuding with the canucks
He doesn't take his profession seriously. I honestly have to be careful about saying anything else; suffice it to say Calgary will gladly move him. And if the rumour of NJD giving up one of its draft picks is true... well I wouldn't if I were NJD.
A few thoughts: - predictably the NHL isn’t handling BLM well (or race and diversity issues historically) and I have no problem with calling that out. That being said, if you’re expecting the league and all of the players to have great, on point responses to all of this, you’re just setting yourself up for disappointment. - hockey fans online are the biggest dorks. The latest example is my twitter feed being full of fans kneeling in their living rooms. - playing the anthems at sporting events is stupid and you’re stupid if you’re against kneeling for an anthem.
I appreciate the sentiment, but taking a picture of yourself kneeling in your living room to an anthem on television is pretty funny. I say the same thing about anyone who stands in their living room.
I’m on the Rangers to win today +110 Columbus series win +145 Pens series win -245 Feels good to be back boys
