You don't want to use the public water here for much. Most people use rain water tanks or well water.
b/c of cost, or quality? Always curious. I would imagine things are much different in a tropical place.
It's already breezy here in northern Palm Beach County this morning. About to go on a morning walk, but the trees and hedges around my yard are periodically swaying when gusts blow through.
Quality. It all depends on where exactly you live. For us and Harbour Island, the water supply is over on mainland Eleuthera and has to get to us through underwater pipes. By the time we get it it's pretty salty and not drinking quality. If you live on mainland Eleuthera closer to the RO system it's good drinking water.
Is this thing gonna completely miss FL? Just got back from the pool w/ the kids. Beautiful day out right now here in south FL.
Watching the Heat game on the back patio. Little breeze here and there but feels like a normal summer day
It’s been windy in Broward county since about 2. Have been getting bands every hour or so, but so far not much. Pool was getting low and hot, so could use a couple inches of rain
Ok, Tom Terry is not wearing a jacket but his sleeves are still down. It’s time to pay attention but not time to worry. We still good TMB bros
Yep took the pups for a long walk tonight, still humid as fuck but a decent breeze. Looking forward to the wind picking up tomorrow before whatever rain we are going to get arrives.
we wound up going outside and drinking some beers outside with the neighbors it was so nice. Sad I work tomorrow and can’t enjoy the rain but whatever
Beers are never a bad choice. not sure how much you will miss tomorrow, the wind shear is blowing everything east of the center so we may not get much until after it passes.
Really though, I feel like someone did this as a joke. Like the guy who makes up names was telling his tinder date what a big deal he is and she was like whatever so he was like oh yeah, just wait until hurricane season I’ll write an easy name to say but tell them it is pronounced weird and every weather person in America will have to say it hundreds of times
So did this storm overachieve today or was it forecast to reach a Cat 1? Seems to be spinning a lot of tornados and water spouts too.
Everything I saw was normal places that flood for regular storms. King tides and the full moon didn't help, but I haven't heard/seen anything out of the ordinary.
In VA and caught what was left of the east eye wall. Was more powerful than I thought. Lots of trees down everywhere and no power. Huge branch missed my car by 3 feet. Likely would've totalled it. Got lucky.
Kyle is going to pretend to be a category 4 but will only be a tropical depression only causing minor damage to cop cars
