I’m guessing they will announce tonight or tomorrow, and he will start Sunday. Manning and Skubal should be shorty after.
If nothing else comes from the season other than Jones, Turnbull and Soto being legit MLB players, then it's better season than I expected
I've used a GIF of Carlos tossing the bat and skipping sideways in a lot of posts. Definitely remember watching that live and being just 100% stoked that my favorite Tigers owned Jered Weaver like that.
Was at the game. That game and the game JD hit the go ahead HR in his first AB back from injury were two of my favorite in person games I've been to last few years. Pretty sure Weaver gave shit to Magglio I think it was for watching his HR earlier in game which is why Guillen did that. Asshole threw at our next hitter and got tossed.
He's got serious stuff. Turnbull also looked nasty at times today. The makings of a knockout 'pen in 2022 are there.
Looking at his stats from last year, he wasn’t bad as a reliever. He sucked ass as a starter though, which inflated his ERA Still makes you wonder though about our player development, that they thought he was a MLB starting pitcher. Although, Vinegar Strokes did have him on his list of 20 guys to kick off the 40 man roster.
I think you want to give a guy every opportunity to be a starter if it’s possible. Especially during a rebuild.
How many K’s will Bauer have today Vinegar Strokes - I believe he had 13 last game - I’ll go with 15 today
4 more positive tests today according to reports I'm also sitting in my backyard and I'm not sure today's game is happening either, rain is imminent. Radar looks like rain from 1 to 4. Think they made a mistake moving it up because it appears to clear up after that, at least for a little bit
bet that bitch Avila is happy. Keeps Mize in minors. He doesn’t want Mize to graduate from prospect ranking lists this year
With the 7 inning games tomorrow, just need the starters to give us 4 innings, and then the best bullpen ever will finish the deal.
My hunch is they aren’t going to bother with him coming up tomorrow since the games aren’t likely being played. Add in the fact that who knows what happens with those Cardinals games at this point.
I think you're right. No reason to break up whatever practice schedule they have him on, if they might be staring at like five days of no baseball (or more).
No reason they couldn't have playwd today. It never rained that hard. We played 6 holes of golf in it.
Mize getting called up means they'd have to make a move with the 40 man roster. I don't believe Norris does. Considering the uncertainty about the games being played, I think the 40 man thing is a big reason. No point in making that move unless you know he's going to pitch.
Sure, but why do that before Mize is actually going to pitch? There's no point in making that move and then waiting a week for Mize to start a game.
If they actually play the games. Seems like there's a lot of question as to the likelihood of that happening.
Well Mize for sure going to get a start because we are about to play 6 games in 5 days and are already at a TBD SP in a 5 man rotation. All these DH are going to mess up pitching schedules for guys
who cares. Starters only have to go 4 innings with the doubleheader’s , and lights out time with our bullpen.
