Are you fucking serious? This is like a parody of the 2A gun chuds asking what more could we do to prevent gun violence. Uh...anything and everything
I don’t see the need to, but thanks for invitation to do so. Well if you read the rest of that post, hell even just the next sentence, you would have the answer to your question. I disagree that asking in earnest what protocols were left out by MLB and the MLBPA that should have been implemented is anything like your gun violence comparison. And don’t give me the “they shouldn’t be playing during a pandemic in the first place” argument. While that may be true, as I have said before, it is a different conversation than “is anyone not doing enough to keep everyone involved healthy” once the decision was made to play.
The point is don't blame players when you're already going against best practices. Everything else is rearranging deck chairs. Humans have and always will pass viruses back and forth to one another. It was a ridiculous expectation that it wouldn't happen. It's hard to be on watch and cognizant of something that's invisible, at all times when most people have very little experience with safety protocols. There will be lapses. There will be people who don't take it seriously at all. That's why it's best to distance yourself so you don't have to worry about times you let your guard down and are vulnerable. This was always set up for failure
That's awesome and reading through that, it doesn't give specific demands but it doesn't seems like the PAC 12 can deliver on the spirit of them.
Oh my reducing excessive coach/administrator salaries and eliminating extravagant facilities spending. Talk about throwing a grenade.
Pretty sure this natural progression (players realizing their actual worth) was discussed in this very thread. Classic "careful what you wish for" moment for the just play ball! types.
The guy making $2.5m and facing none of the risks telling the unpaid athletes that there are no guarantees
His salary is extremely important context. I also don't think he's telling the majority of the players anything they didn't already know so it comes off like he's talking down to them.
ugafish has made it abundantly clear time and time again that he does not give a flying fuck how many people have to die as long as he gets to watch sports. eat shit you loser
You and I both saw a bunch of soccer games recently. How many had to die for our enjoyment? Give me a number.
