I cut the front yard every two weeks and let the grass drown out any weeds. Backyard is weekly due to having a puppy. Shorter grass = less likely he will want to eat the grass and less moisture transfer to his coat. You may have time to cut it now before the 3 PM rain band comes through. That’s my plan as soon as I get off this 1:30 call.
Stuck on a call right now, hopefully it holds odd till I'm done. Our backyard drains horribly so its half grass/weeds and half swamp right now.
Nashville is so toothless with its enforcement of shutdowns. Read the article today about Broadway and police asking the metro head what they should do about party busses and shit still operating and driving right past them. Umm how about shutting them down and fining the shit out of the owners? It's no wonder we can't beat the virus back.
They are quicker to boot cars that overstay their time in a parking lot than they are vehicles operating in direct violation of city public health mandates.
I'd never heard of this place. Looking at pictures from the party online it looks like the people you'd expect to not give a shit.
There are people defending the party And then there's the dude who ate the chicks ass in front of everyone at the party It's probably TikTok's fault
I think it tells us where we are as a society that people are more outraged at this party than the kids being shot and murdered in Nashville. Murders and violent crimes are up YoY. East Nashville FB group has had at least 10 threads about this party, accumulating hundreds of comments within hours. A post on kids being shot or murdered might get 10 comments in total and the mayor/CM's are definitely not making public statements. We have seen other large parties that happen across the US with minimal COVID cases. Didn't that Lake of the Ozarks pool party only have a few positive cases? If it can spread on MLB teams when they are trying to play a season with a ton of restrictions, it will spread in any format, whether you are at a party of 5, 10, 15, 50, or 100+. The 25 person group gathering guideline is laughable.
I said this last week but the NBA and NHL are doing fine because of their screening measures. Temp checks, weekly testing. MLB isn't taking those same steps. The moron sticking his tongue in a hooker's butt isn't doing that either. I can compare apples to oranges all day long but I'm still comparing two different things. Take COVID out of the equation and these douche queens are still breaking noise and fire ordinances. The online shaming culture does get old quick, but in some cases, it's deserved. /Male Karen
I’m pretty regular acquaintances with the guys that threw this party and actually got asked to DJ it (look at me, I know). It should come as no surprise that everyone involved is a complete moron and they’re definitely all COVID truthers. I sat on a couch next to the guy on the left in this photo for like 5 hours yesterday watching him get dragged on social media. He blames BLM, naturally.
Yeah man...I asked him directly how he made that connection and he just kinda hemmed and hawed and blamed it on woke liberals.
does he always wear Tommy Bahama shirts? dude in the middle is your stereotypical MMA fanatic gotta love how my parents (in their 70s) can't feel comfortable leaving their house because of ass holes like that
NBA and NHL are in bubbles. Bubbles are the only way to prevent the spread, New Zealand did it on a large scale. What is the difference between a 25 person party and a 26 person party...25 is allowed and 26 is not.
Do you know if any of them already had COVID and were asymptomatic or were positive for antibodies? Would anyone here change their routine if they tested positive for anti-bodies?
Having 300+ crammed in a driveway doesn't help implement this bubble mentality. Again, lots of testing and control of the exposure. If you isolate the variables, you can control the risk, spread, and any other word or stat we want to throw out. 26 is 1 more than 25 btw
Anybody else sad the Bill Hagerty and Manni Sethi ads are no more? We will miss you, Babies Lives Matter, or NEVER-TRUMPER ad.
I wish I knew. I didn't want to ask. No need to listen to sports radio when there are no sports or I don't drive anywhere.
Girl that's FB friends with my wife apparently went to Opry waves a few days ago. Big shock at these updates.
I hate Withrow so much but I gather he is talking about the Preds not facing the same level of scrutiny as the Titans or Tennessee. Like hello it's hockey in TN?
I didn’t look on FB yet. Wife just sent me screen shots. I'll check for replies, you're probably right. I'm sure there are doozies.
I haven’t listened in years, but big shake up at 104.5. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.tennessean.com/amp/3339734001 I don’t know how Blaine Bishop is still on the air. He’s unlistenable.
Fuck Bill Lee and his republican cronies. Literally holding a special session of TN legislature to pass a law that would prevent citizens from holding church’s, schools, businesses, etc liable for covid 19 exposure. When he seems to be unwilling to grow a pair of balls for the pandemic, it’s only fitting for him to want to pass a liability waiver to go with his inability to govern. Fuck this piece of shit.
All of these idiot GOP governors relying on stores and cities to mandate masks and shit are literally killing people. Add on the refusal of local PDs across the country to actually enforce mandates and you have 1k a day dying.
If you're interested the drive through testing site on Murfreesboro pike is open testing. No appointment or symptoms required. Took us less than 30 minutes this time. Took maybe 30 minutes the first time cause they missed my wife's paperwork on the windshield so we had to wait a couple minutes for them to test her.
You got tested again? Did you have interactions or symptoms that made you decide to get tested again? Or just rechecking results from the first test?
We visited the in-laws in Stl. We didn't go out or anything, only thing we did up there was a socially distant, masked up, outdoor exhibit only visit to the zoo. But we are planning on going to Bama at the end of the month for my mom's bday so we want to make sure we didn’t bring it back with us. We also like to hang out with our neighbors who are older and a select group of friends here that have been safe and cautious (at each other's houses only, still no going out) so we want to make sure we don't unknowingly spread it to them or anyone else. Long, rambling answer but no symptoms as of yet.
Got ya. I wasn’t judging; just curious as to why you got multiple tests so closely together. Essentially, I was being nosy.
