FSD just showed Avila and a bunch of players walking the field. They seemed pissed that the game hasn’t started yet.
I live about 11 miles north of the stadium, and it hasn't rained here since before noon. Radar seems to show the same weather in Detroit
how does a staff of professionals watch these two guys practice for weeks and decide that Garcia should be the starter
Why is Carson Fulmer pitching again in an important situation? My white Sox friend said he’s awful and don’t expect anything
Closers in non save situation always turn out bad it seems. Especially in a DH not quite sure why we put him in
We've thrown some amazingly bad line-ups out there over the last 3 years, but this one has to be in the bottom 5.
Yeah I saw that. If we do play those games against STL, we technically would need another starter on Saturday.
This team would have been shut out in both games of a double header if not for a fielding mistake by Castellanos. Hell call up Tork too. This offense is painful to watch
I don't know, if the team is set on Garcia being a starter they have six guys they are using. Boyd, Nova, Turnbull, Fulmer, Norris and Garcia.
Stavenhagen is speculating that we are holding off on Mize for a while longer to avoid the potential of him gaining Super Two status. Apparently spending 47 days on the active roster would make that possible.
There is also a consideration that this season might not last 47 more days. Im really not going to get upset with Mize not playing in a season like this
Upset, maybe not, but I think a season like this is the perfect time to give guys like Mize time. Otherwise you are basically wasting a year of their development with no minors. Makes no sense to waste a guy like that in minor camp when he has shown he is ready for a call up
MLB.com updated their top prospect list #7 Tork #8 Mize #26 Manning #33 Greene #51 Skubal Luis Robert and Jo Adell still both on list. Lux too. Assuming Lux gets a call up at some point, and these guys aren't going to move much because no minor league season, Tork will likely be a top 5 prospect going into next season. Mize too if we are stubborn and don't call him up
Their rankings of Tiger prospects Tork Mize Manning Greene Skubal Paredes W Castro Cameron Dingler Wentz
After #6 there's about a 10+-way tie for #7 depending on what skills you like and who you choose to believe in for whatever reason.
11-25 btw they have Faedo, Cabrera, Rogers, Meadows, F Perez, Burrows, W Perez, B Garcia, Castro, Packard, Clemens, Campos, Keith, Workman, Reyes Quintana all the way down to 26. Trei Cruz at 28
The top 5 are potential all stars, and then it goes to guys who won't start on contenders in a hurry. Note: I'm not high on Paredes, W. Castro and Cameron.
