I'd guess Bernardo plays more in Central mid next year and Torres and Mahrez play out right. I posted a couple days ago the need for another winger. Young and high upside so I like it. LW Sterling/Jesus and Foden ST Aguero/Jesus RW Mahrez/Torres and Bernardo CM KDB / Foden CM Bernardo / Gundogan If they went into next season without signing another CM or Winger, they'd have been in danger of an injury or two leaving them with one backup for five spots. Also going to be playing in a lot of competitions again presumably without a full break, more rotation to keep people fresh is always welcome
I think you’re completely missing the point. Sterling can play on the left but he’s without question better on the right. Same can be said for Foden, his best moves happen cutting in from right to left. We may see more of him centrally than Bernardo anyway. Bernardo isn’t a LW. RW or central. Mahrez is a RW, I don’t recall him ever playing on the left. Torres is another guy that plays almost exclusively on the right. The entire point was that if were signing a winger, I would want someone more comfortable on the left
£55 million for Sane and paying £20 for Ferran Torres seems like pretty good business considering Sane was out the door in a year and Torres is only 20 and has first team experience in a top league. If you believe the rumored Ake price we flipped Sane and about £5 for Ake and Torres. Still have a lot of money available for another big signing or two. Really hope they can keep Garcia and bring in a top defender like Koulibaly.
No Hazard, Ramos, Bale, or James today for Real. Sure hope the City fellas are in form and get the easy W.
No Ramos is great but Bale and James was to be expected and they haven’t really had Hazard all that much. Ramos is also the most important though so I certainly feel better without him
I know but it's still nice to not see Gareth Bale or James Rodriguez on the bench against your team. And I hope Hazard gets healthy tomorrow.
Really don't understand why wait until quarterfinals of Champions League to switch to a system they haven't used all year
“I don’t understand why Pep waited until this UCL knockout to completely change things up” has been something to say every year. Love the guy but that’s been frustrating
That was an awful miss but there’s no way you can convince me you the defense wasn’t going to have another letdown. I get it, you guys are going to eat up Raz shitting the bed and that’s fine but this is on Pep. He got it wrong today and that’s become a yearly comment about him and his lineups in UCL. It shouldn’t have come down to one miss to send it to ET and if Pep didn’t do whatever the fuck he was doing, it wouldn’t have
With Pep, feels like it comes down to ego. And like Shaun says, at the absolute worst time. Love the man, but you just want to punch him in the face sometimes
4. If league was competitive and we weren’t 18 points back it would be a 5 but with what we spend there’s no excuse for not doing better
It will always be believe it when I see it but Messi wanting to leave does seem legit. The reporter that broke Neymar to PSG is reporting it
Agree completely. With him letting that get out though there really are only a handful of possible clubs so it makes sense City is linked. Going to be wild seeing he and Ronaldo both join PSG though
just gonna pretend he was hacked right after he said all pool fans are virgins they’ve been known to do that after all
Still won't believe it until I see it but ran across this on SI https://www.si.com/soccer/mancheste...essi-indicates-desire-to-join-manchester-city Marcelo Bechler, the journalist who was first to break news of Neymar's departure from Barcelona, is now claiming that Lionel Messi will seek to terminate his deal at the Nou Camp following an expression of desire to play for Manchester City.
For the record, I would still bet it doesn't happen, but its getting silly at this point https://www.espn.com/soccer/soccer-...e-asked-neymar-to-join-him-at-manchester-city Emerging from ESPN Brasil's Jorge Nicola is a spectacular wrinkle that makes this saga even more breathtaking, however. The commentator reports that Messi has contacted Neymar to inform him of his move to the Etihad. And this is where it really gets good: There is an insinuation that the 33-year-old has encouraged his former Camp Nou companion to leave Paris Saint-Germain and join him in Pep Guardiola's side.
