Fucking awesome, it’s going to be hard as shit and make me want to throw my controller like Cuphead but I’m excited.
yes, that's how competitive games work. people turn the graphics down as much as possible to get as many frames as possible.
Reminds me of when Fortnite made it to the ipad/iphone and my internet connection was ass so building and texture rendering was way turned down. But player models were still first priority to render, so I would land in Tilted Towers and I could see players extremely well, no hiding in windows at all.
I’m posting in both threads, so ignore the duplication. Has anyone already upgraded their TV for the next gen, or does anyone have any plans to upgrade any time soon? I just picked up the LG CX and now I’m jonesing hard for these systems to be released. Can’t recommend the TV enough.
I have a 4K tv and a XB1 X so I don’t really feel any rush to upgrade. Is there a better version of tv and I’m already behind?
Finally getting around to playing Ori 2, and it’s just as good as I’d hoped and expected. Before going in, I was skeptical about some of the more customization / RPG elements but they’re implemented seamlessly. Highest of recommendations.
I downloaded cross code which is a zeldaish Super Nintendo looking game that is fun on game pass, it’s challenging and very good.
they’re excellent I think I’m about halfway-ish through Ori 2 and just had one of the more memorable boss battles in recent memory
That’ll be a blow to console sales during the holidays. I’m surprised they didn’t just release a 80% complete game like most devs do. Gives me hope that it will be polished whenever it finally does release, but it is 343.
I’ve been thinking about the Halo delay more, and while I do think it’s ultimately the right move to delay if the games not ready it does raise some interesting questions. Namely, what changed between now and three weeks ago when they were convinced it was going to be ready to roll out as a launch title? Was it just the noise about the visual aesthetic, or is there more? If it’s just visual fidelity issues we should see those resolved by the first quarter of 2021 for release I’d guess. If it drags on further it brings into serious question the stewardship of the Halo franchise by 343, because it likely indicates much bigger development issues for the game than just responding to issues like inputting ray tracing and fine tuning visuals.
I think they had to delay it. Probably didn't plan on having a BR, but social media was clamoring for it. It also got killed on social media because it looked like an xbone game.
Wait there wasn't going to be a BR? I've been out on Halo for awhile but to me this shows that 343 fundamentally does not understand their game
They didn't say much. Only thing I heard from them was multiplayer would be free. No idea if there was going to be a BR or not. Should have known after 5 that 343 didn't have a clue what they were doing.
Oh that's what I thought we were talking about. Yeah I don't give a fuck about a battle Royale mode. I also have not watched the trailer so that's probably the source of my confusion
I don’t know that halo translates to battle Royale well, seems like it would turn into a snipe fest shit show
Yeaaahhh I am 100% voting for no Halo BR. Don't think it translates. With that having been said, I would happily play one and I hope that they make something new/creative that blows the genre out of the water.
