Set it up yesterday, double or tripled my connection speed that I was getting from WiFi, hopefully eliminates connection disruptions. Thank you, mighty Odin.
mine cuts out ocassionally but the fix is as simple as unpluging amd plugging it back up. come to think about it i only had problems when i was living in an old ass apartment, basically none in a place built ~10 years ago
For those of you interested in the business side of the global games industry, the numbers and statistics, and the future of the industry, I did a series about all that. Also, my latest interview, with the studio that made Little Nightmares. In spoilers for those who don't give a shit Spoiler
I'm not if you're following the console developments or if you plan to upgrade but you'll want one with high refresh to take advantage of extra FPS. I have 144hz Dell S2716DG w/ GSync. Definitely not cheap (nor is it's replacement model from 2020) and it may not be IPS, but just something to consider.
Since you have a high FPS, iyam, I would go with a Dell Ultrasharp series - which will be versatile for other (e.g. laptop/pc) uses. multiple 4k choices now, and a couple of 1200/1440 pixel options.Even though they won't be cheap, they will have all ergonomic options, very well made, 3 year warranty, and single pixel replacement policy.
Looking to maybe step back into the master race after years of console gaming.. So, in the past there were sites dedicated or at least aggregated info for motherboard chip sets and video card info but I can not recall any. Any help is appreciated.
ok i need help. i live in a fairly rural area and only have access to shitty dsl thats like 15/2 from at&t what can i do to change that? who can i bribe?
I don’t know the answer to your question, but I recently bought a new PC with a 2070 super and would highly recommend it.
OldazzNinjaman I'm waiting for next gen connectors (e.g. HDMI 2.1 and DP 2.0). Since I'm not in the market yet, I don't know about the 2060 super prices and trends, but with the new models being announced and then released, you should expect downward movement on the 2060 series this fall.
Awesome info, thanks. Just doing a superficial search to do a build soon(jumping from xbox). Tired of getting whooped by pc peoples on warzone.. Haven't built a pc since the early OO's. When are you anticipating the newer cards dropping? Are the newer interfaces worth the wait? Guess I could do some research quick myself..
NP. glad to offer a bits of info Here is an insider blog I follow - feel free to read the chart in the middle, with regards to models and dates. https://wccftech.com/exclusive-nvid...-partial-specs-and-tentative-launch-schedule/ Note that the direct replacement to the 2060 Super which you called out is not listed, but the others dated for launch are all set to do so within the next 60 days. The new connectors are for future proofing for myself. I want the new capabilities that they bring Here's another link: https://wccftech.com/nvidia-geforce...rformance-ampere-gaming-lineup-rumor-details/ for HDMI 2.1 features and DP 2.0 features, check out these charts. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI#Version_2.1 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DisplayPort#Resolution_and_refresh_frequency_limits
That is one gorgeous game. How does it play? From what i've read they worked hard to make it more accessible this time around, so even if you are a real pilot you at least have the option of an easier flight if you just want to jump in real quick.
so, keeping in mind that i'm playing with just a keyboard+mouse, not even an xbox controller much less a flight stick, i've found it very challenging. taking off is not too difficult to learn, flying manually takes some practice but i can keep it in the air. i'm starting to get the hang of how autopilot works with 1 plane, and i've figured out how to fly long distances using the computer. but in about 10-15 flights i have only landed successfully once, and that was in the water in Lake Marion. Finding your destination, coming it at the right speed and altitude, is something that requires lots of practice and/or the use of the complicated navigation equipment. but for me it is all totally new, ive been gaming for decades and never played anything like this, where i can just hop in and fly over a beautifully rendered version of my hometown, or some exotic place like Norilsk, Kampala, Pyongyang. The open-ended nature of it is impressive.
Good to hear! Landing is always the hardest, don't worry, you'll get there. The fact that just being in the air is so much better now because of the improved visuals means that it is 100% more accessible and desirable for the average gamer, and that will help it a lot once it gets to Xbox.
The real cost is that it's like 150GB. I have to grab a HDD to expand storage for this game, no joke.
Odin Is satellite internet possible? I don’t know much about but I’ve seen it generating interest for rural communities.
Latency is too high unfortunately. Most providers are 300-500ms. No bueno for gaming Elon trying to change that with Starlink but we’ll see
NVIDIA has been sold out of GeForce RTX 2080 TI cards. Had signed up to be notified a few weeks ago when they were back in stock. Got the email today, dropped everything, went to website, out of stock again.
Was just looking at the NVIDIA store at their founders edition. Haven't really considered EVGA, ASUS, etc for any of the overclocked versions. Amazon, NewEgg, Best Buy, etc all seem to be out too. Currently have a GTX 1080
I really haven't either but I read that since they don't overclock theirs, they should be very stable. All the others I think do factory overclocking which I'm sure is fine, but if I'm going to spend over 1,000 on a card I would like to hopefully eliminate potential issues.
Saw it initially and was like wow must be special for that price then i noticed it was a 3rd is a party seller. Quite the price hike
Building a computer during these times is extremely difficult. It took me a lot longer than expected because of delays and price gouging. I constantly refreshed Best Buy website to get the Nvidia 2070 Super.
party game type thing. youre people on a ship thing. you have stuff to do. some of the people go around killing the others. you have to figure out who is doing Shitty AMC Show. its like $5. i'll buy risk of rain if you'll buy that.
Oh I’ve been playing risk of rain 2 quite a bit. That and Witcher 3 are what I’m spending time on at the moment. If people buy Among Us, I don’t mind that as well
i bought risk of rain for the ps4 a good while ago. internet was never good enough to stay connected but ive since upgraded the internet and dont expect to have problems with it anymore.
