Dfw exuberance and lack of taste is generally different than that throughout the rest of the state, yes.
Maybe GoodForNothing can whip you up a Fan Of symbol for your new hobby. I know he isn't busy getting my new NHL team added.

There is an absolutely absurd house in Bentonville that started being built and they got most of the shell and outside somewhat done, and started on the driveway and the front gate... but stopped and it’s sat like that for years. For the life of me I can’t find it online though.
If anyone hasn't seen it, I highly recommend the documentary Queen of Versailles. Its about this family in Orlando that made a ton of money in timeshares and is working on building this insane house in Orlando modeled on the Palace at Versailles. When completed it would be one of the largest single family homes in the country (almost 200k sq ft). Then the 2008 crash happens and the family is forced to exist as normal people for a while. Hilarity ensues. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Queen_of_Versailles
What are all the boxes? I've looked into this thread and I'm not sure I 100% get all the obsurd things. Spoiler
Yeah, its an actual mansion. They sourced really expensive finishes and didnt cut any corners. Choosing Scottish castle theme in Arkansas just seems like another super rich and pretentious thing.
I stand by mansion. Its a McMansions thread not McCastles thread. Also, the sex dungeon or normal dungeon?
There is a lakehouse down from us that has that roof line, boathouse roof matches it Its owned by aggies
Sorry the trees block the view, I had to grab pics from Google. Largest house in the area by good margin, on a busy street with many older (60s/70s) homes. I've lived in the area for about 10 years, seems like someone may have lived there for a year of that time. About 6 months ago they just tore it down. These are the houses directly next door, they're equally ugly, but it in a similar and respectable kind of way.
OD on opioids. Her mom says she’s sure her dead 18yo daughter would want the house finished so that’s their goal rn. Bless her soul.
