Unless Deion Jones bounces back this year he's our only player worth a shit on defense. Change my mind.
Hate to see Orlando Ledbetter shamelessly defense such a shitty head coach but here we are https://www.ajc.com/sports/atlanta-...d-not-report-list/VDVE75Y6WVFO3K5HA2HSV2WOIY/
There's really nothing to be excited about with this franchise currently. Year two of Dirk Koetter(again yay) should waste any and all talent on offense. Need a fire sale. Matt, Julio , etc all need to be available for trade and picks. Need a GM who can fix the cap situation. Fire the entire staff, front office and scouting department. This is all known, but I enjoyed typing it out for the 5,000th time.
I don’t know if trading two likely Hall of Famers is the right call. Maybe we can start with the shitty coaches and front office and hold onto our talented guys.
I mean, I want to keep both as they're very good but any new staff and front office is going to have issues with our cap situation.
i feel like we are just ok at too many positions. And with the injury bug on D always biting us its inevitable
Maybe it's just me but Ryan has seemed to be open to restructuring his contract more than Julio. Maybe we need someone to convince Julio to restructure his to open up some more space? I could be completely wrong about this.
Yea because you've got a large portion of your cap in two players. It's only going to grow over the next 2-3 seasons as both get older.
Our woes start and end with TD’s shitty drafts, not needing to free up money for TD to oversign shitty veterans
Rookie LB Mykal Walker seems to get an INT every practice. Gurley’s knee is a disaster. Which we knew. Sounds like the secondary has looked pretty decent. Davidson has been practicing inside iirc. Super Bowl champs
I hate that we might have to dump Julio to get back to being competitive. They should modify cap rules to where a player doesn't hit your cap over a certain amount if they've been there for a certain amount of time or if you drafted them.
It makes me sick to think we would have to ditch Julio because TD has totally fucked everything up for years.
I’m getting just optimistic enough to feel pain when Keanu Neals ligaments explode and Dirk Koetter manages to give Russell Gage more touches than Julio In a prime time game. I am without Shame.
Trading Julio for a bunch of second round picks because TD can’t negotiate then using those picks on a bunch of tweener edge rushers named Stephen from the Richmond Spiders
Every couple of days the AJC runs some story like “Falcons more focused than ever” and the thumbnail is Dirk Koetter
We could’ve given up a 2nd round pick in ‘21(essentially a guard out of UVA) for Yannick... but instead the Ravens gave up a 3rd and a RB like Ito Smith to get him. Has anyone seen TD lately? He’s obviously spending more time on his back than at work.
Not yet but Schefter was running with it yesterday and the consistent desired return by the Jags was a 2nd rounder. Why in the blue fuck have we not offered it?
And the crazy thing is that whoever the rest of the league would draft with our second rounder is going to 100% be taken by TD in the first
TD is already trying to rationalize drafting some white guy from a lower tier B1G school who isn't even playing this fall.
