Having not watched nor having any intention to watch the film I want to reserve my judgement but that does seem gross and weird.
so basically Fuck Netflix for putting up an all time horrible poster and name for promoting this movie also a bad summary of the film as well
no, fuck the idiots that jumped the gun on Twitter without even looking at what the movie was all about.
which one is it? Is it a child exploitation film or did people jump the gun about the film? Dude you’re literally arguing both sides. Come on.
no, i thought the first reaction by the twitter warriors was way over the line. Netflix could have done a better job though. and then I saw the second tweet about islamophobie and realized that this movie is going to be a train wreck and should probably not be on Netflix.
lol this is literally what I said. You had one opinion and as soon as you read a tweet you change your opinion.
yes, and you think thats’ weird? I commented before knowing all the facts on a message board...my bad
I don’t think it’s weird just that you did what I said you’d do and you were like “nah dog”. You read one tweet and formed an opinion seconds later read a second tweet and had a second opinion. It’s funny that’s all.
wonder what the overlap is between people who are tweeting about that movie, all upset, and people who ally with qanon shit and think there's a global pedophilia conspiracy
The synopsis was literally "11 year old joins twerking dance crew". Any backlash is on Netflix for the photo they used, the synopsis, picking the movie up period.
actual doc, been up for a while, fun little ride through memory lane also have to say my mind was blown when I found out Frank Langella played Skeletor in the shitty movie that I watched at least 100 times
“11 year old breaks culture norms and joins dance group” would have been much better and not gotten the backlash. The picture for the ad was so problematic. I have zero interest in watching an 11 year old twerk.
Anyone watch Captive yet? Thought about turning it on this morning, but wasn't ready for something that heavy. Switched on High Score instead.
Stars in the Sky is really good as well. A must watch if you hunt, and really good even if you don't hunt. It's by Steven Rinella of MeatEater.
Met Rodney about 5 years ago at his place in Hemingway. Super nice guy. Took me to the back where his pits were and walked me through his process. Love that he's getting recognized. His whole hog is amazing.
Everyone thought bobs burgers looked awful and it became an amazing show. Can’t judge a cartoon by its trailer
I gave the first two episodes a try. I'll wait for others to tell me it gets better because those were fucking terrible.
I thought the first couple episodes of Hoops was meh, but have stuck with it. Think it was episode 4 or 5 I started to like it. Will finish it. Seems to be getting better
“I‘ll wait and see if other people like it so I can change my opinion on it and fit in with the cool kids like devine”
the "joke" (and I do mean that singularly) is little more than "this coach says wildly inappropriate things". That's really the whole fucking bit. And said inappropriate things aren't that funny, they're just totally silly outbursts with strings of vulgarity for vulgarity's sake.
